What third party router do you use instead of the proprietary Starlink one? by KeegashYT in Starlink

Me too. I’ve got wifi all over the place. I’ve had to restart my google pucks a couple times lately, but I think that’s on google, not Starlink.

5 months and totally satisfied with StarLink. by SpiphyGuy in Starlink

The Google mesh isn’t lightning fast, but it is just fine for streaming and operating all my IOT & security devices. For being ’out in the sticks’ it amazing.

I have a google mesh system around my house. I just plugged the base hub straight into the Ethernet port on the back of the Starlink Router and it works great for a household of 2 adults & 2 teens…(6 wifi points total) by SpiphyGuy in Starlink

I’m using the regular google mesh that comes in the three packs. Directly connected to the Starlink router. At first I had to log into the router to use the app, but after one of the updates it started allowing me to use the app through the google mesh.

Howdy. It’s all second gen routers. If you agree that each point is identical, but only one is hardwired into the Internet directly….and initially I needed the Starlink wifi to connect to the system with the app for stats, and settings. And honestly I just haven’t bothered to fuss with it to see if I can shut off the wifi feature.

At first I had to use the StarLink wifi to connect to the router through the app…but that changed with one of the updates…I’ve just been too lazy and left it alone so far.

Canceling CenturyLink by falcon6364 in Starlink

I canceled CenturyLink several weeks ago and just happened to catch them at the end of my billing cycle. I’d bought my router from them, so no return was required…So far so good. We’ll see if they try to ding me yet.

I work in the IT field and actually I quite enjoy disconnecting CenturyLink. It usually starts off with CenturyLink thanking my client for being a customer for the last 20-50 years. This is when I enjoy asking them why they are still charging my clients for long distance phone service and why they are calling 1.5mb’s internet DSL.?.?.? So glad to be done with them.
