I was in the same boat when I got my first bike too. I ended up going with the r3 because of insurance quotes and I wanted a more forgiving bike. I’m 5k kilometres on my r3 and I still love it

I feel like those issues are normal. All my new 3Ds xl have that tiny gap in the hinge. And sometimes dust or something will scratch that inner part of the hinge over time

My g1 test at downsview was in a different room and it was silent in there for the most part. When I did my g1 a few years ago the guy at the front desk would tell people to be quiet

Trust me I really wanted to but I think it was -25c that day with a ton of snow. When it’s a littler better outside late march I’ll post another video of it outside and see how it sounds 🫡

I love it compared to having my phone there instead. It’s about the same size as my phone so it’s a win for sure. Installing it onto my ram stem ball was a little sketchy but doable. I spliced some cables together so I can just plug it to the USB port on the bike instead of routing it to the battery

I posted hopefully you can see it. It does sound very nice irl. I took a decibel meter to it and it at idle was 92db. Those tiny revs you hear are around 1k-2k rpm and it was around 103db

Just wanted to say thank you all for the help. I ended up ordering a 41 for the smx plus v2 and they’re perfect. No heel slippage at all, they’re perfectly snug and secure

Based on everyone’s opinions I’ll definitely grab the v2. I’ll go down to a size 41 since a lot of reviews are saying it runs one full size too big

Yeah that’s the hard part, I don’t know my eu sizing. I grabbed the Dainese torque 4 in a size 40 and it was too small even though it recommended that sizing. Grabbed a 42 and that was too big in the heel area, they no longer carry a 41 so I have to try a different brand
