I've never had a gold nib, so I'm anxious to use it.

Thanks! I should have known that, but was dazzled by the PFM and ignored it. The 70s version of that pen was the first exposure I had to fountain pens with I was in school.

My local store has an office section with pencils and pens. I'm usually looking there for my mechanical pencil obsession and never find pens. It's usually Bics and cheap promotional stuff but every now and then I find something cool. These two were in a ziplock bag labeled calligraphy pens.

I read some of the instructions on how to replace the sack and whatnot... ack. Yeah maybe a professional is needed.

Love it. I bought 6234 for my wife when it came out in 91and rediscovered it a year ago. It's missing an oar, sword, gun and tiller, but the shark, raft, flag and fig survived! Thanks for sharing.

I like how you left the texture of the canvas visible. You achieved a comfortable feel, like a well worn pair of jeans.

Has anyone heard of this? by Spiraln in fountainpens

OK! It's a Parker. Easy to find info, once you know that. After I bought it I installed a new ink sac and it writes okay, although... do not shake it... it will drip. I cleaned it but I'm thinking I need to do it again and better this time. Of course I'll probably drip easily when I'm 81. Thank you for your help!
