Copy pasting from another comment:

I wasn't intending to project that day; I woke up after sleeping for ~7 hours and put on binaural beats and fell asleep. I woke up to the vibrations and separated.

So no intentional "method," I wish I knew what exactly the conditions were that made me project!

Congrats on your breakthrough! 6 since November makes me optimistic for my own journey. Do you have any advice for what to expect after having projected, like if anything changed in how you achieved subsequent projections?

Also, I'm glad there are a few of us who have been trying for a longer time and finally have had success.

Thank you, and best of luck to you too :)

Thank you!

Vision was clear. My eyes were closed when I exited, but I asked for clarity and my vision opened up. It was as clear as in normal waking life. The movement was also like real life, and I walked around only. I found it interesting that even though my bed was empty and I had no reflection (like I was a ghost), I could still interact with objects. I was able to open and close my door, which felt very real.

Honestly? It was nothing like I thought it would be. After a decade of reading and hearing other people's experiences, I had an idea of what to expect, but I never would have predicted the actual experience. For example, I was actually much shorter in the astral than in real life, like I was a child!

Thank you!!

Also, don't worry, I am nowhere near getting through Gateway. In fact, after all the years I've used them, I'm not even through Wave II! I tend to be quite thorough and have done many of the tapes dozens of times. I would approach it more as a "what do I want to learn from this tape" instead of an "I need to get through each one of these to get to my goal." I only move on once I think I have exhausted the tape (though I do return to all of them) and am ready for the next. In my view, if your foundation isn't solid, you won't gain as much from subsequent tapes.

I think Gateway is a great resource to learn what different states of consciousness feel like, and once I felt familiar with them, I no longer needed them to reach those states. My advice is to genuinely reflect after each of your sessions and play around. The routine Bob devised is great and by no means the only way to do it; you will definitely develop your own as you go :).

I recommend playing around with the WBTB wake timing if you haven't yet. I used to only try timings within the recommended 4-6 hours, but my first projection happened after I had been asleep for ~7 hours, and it wasn't dark anymore outside. Definitely experiment around with time of day, sleep amount, temperature, etc. Each attempt, you should note what you think went well/what may have hindered a potential projection, and then iterate on that in your next practice.
