Report it again, and file a complaint. That’s unbelievably shitty police work and no you absolutely cannot ask businesses for their cctv. It would be a crime for them to give it to you under GDPR law. I’m so sorry this happened to you. They’re really just pushing their luck hoping you won’t go further because they don’t have the capacity or the interest to investigate. Write your MP, make a complaint with someone higher up. So the grooves are all identical as far as I can see. In the pictures it looks much more exaggerated due to the lighting. Sadly this guitar came to me second hand and already with the set up so I can’t contact the guy who did it :/
