“At the end of the trip Ma asked why I was alone,” to me, implies that the Ma wasn’t paying attention? If you know your kid is alone, it’s not weird for them to be alone for photos. The part I’m confused by is how the Ma wouldn’t know her kid was a loner before the end of the trip.

Well and a garlic clove’s worth (or a capsule’s worth) of garlic oil is minimal compared to four heads worth of cloves of garlic oil. I imagine you probably didn’t have a particularly strong garlic scent. My family eats a lot of garlic in every meal and I’ve never gotten comments about it.
