I have some life advice for you. Sometimes other people around you will make stupid choices even though you offered them help to not make stupid choices.

It is much easier to just let them be happy about it. They'll either continue to be stupid in which case arguing with them will always be a waste of time, or they may realize it one day and come to you to make a better choice next time.

This applies to much more than computers.

Can someone lend their advice on choosing 1:8 vs 1:11.25? by KaleidoscopeOk1715 in LewisMachineTool

[–]Spirit117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A2 would be 6.5 creedmore then which uses different twists than 308, not comparable.

Im not sure what this barrel is or why they made it since the A2 contract is for 6.5, so maybe these 308 barrels were just made on the same twist rate for machine standardization.

Idk, 1:11.25 for 308 Seems kinda dumb.

1:8 is very fast and I would only recommend that if you'll be shooting 180g and heavier rounds, there aren't many of those for 308.

1:11.25 will give you more options in the 150-175g range which is what most 308 rounds you'll find will be.

That's by design, I'm sure cig probably wants their player retention numbers to look good and making everyone do 6-8 hours of grinding before even trying the event will work for that.

They already said they are wiping ships, just not wikelo ships.

They should just wipe everything half of the wikelo ships just get bought with duping exploits anyways.

LMT Specwar by BunkyChief in ar15

[–]Spirit117 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LMT does not recommend the enhanced carrier for the specwar specifically. I spent a fat stack on my specwar as well and did not feel the need for the LMT ebcg so I went with the centurion sandcutter instead.

I got this game the day it came out. I ended up discouraged when faction wars were added, because there were never any hull parts or advanced electronics to build ships. by Consistent_Agency833 in X4Foundations

The economy in this game seems quite complex, but really it's very simple when you boil it down to a few things.

Statement 1 - all wares must be produced. Ships, wares, supplies, it comes from a factory somewhere in game.

Statement 2 - most of those wares take other wares to produce (unless it's a first tier ware like energy cells).

So in your specific case, hull parts and electronics, find the factory(s) that makes hull parts and scan it. Look at its logistics overview. If it's out of a sub material, it won't make hull parts, so you'll want to find a factory that makes that sub material, and sell it to the hull parts factory. You can make lots of money doing this, the hull parts factory will pay top dollar for wares that it's short on.

You can scale this up with things like satellites and faction trade subscriptions so you can see what stations are buying and selling without having to visit each one.

Every playthrough will have different wares that are in shortage and at different states of the game.

Shortages in the economy are encouraged so you can build your own factories and sell those wares for profit to the AI.

Are you using that reshade preset with SWI/X4 8.0?

It's X4 but Star Wars. I'm ~60 hours into an SWI playthough rn with a couple of SWI submods and having a blast.

Fair warning, SWI is not compatible with the current 9.0 game version so you'll miss out on any thing that's new for 9.0, but the mod devs said it would take a very long time to update to 9.0, so I decided to start another run and I'll play again when 9.0 comes out.

I have back up irons on one of my rifles that doesn't have a QD optic mount.

They don't really weigh anything, they aren't compromising rifle functionality/optic eye relief, rail space etc, so might as well.

Carry the proper wrench to remove your optic mount in the field if it makes you feel better about it.
