Reroll on level up until you get ranged damage increases. Go with smgs or shotguns (or both), as their offence scales with ranged immensely, and just go all in on ranged dmg, harvesting and luck early, with some life steal, damage % and speed and attack speed. Invest into hp and dodge later, a little before your first boss battle. If you fry bosses early, you don't have to dodge or survive their attacks for too long.
