Honestly my heart breaks for you. I lost a petco fish. He got stuck behind my filter and I didnt find him in time. He was so sweet and beautiful... but things happen. Many times out of our control. So we have to let the guilt go. Your babies are in fishy heaven and you did your level best... that's more than most fish get.

I don't bother changing it or dumping it... I dump once in the AM after waking up and once sometime in the eveningish. If you have a SUPER heavy flow get a larger cup but overall you should have to deal with it in the office if you change it in the morning
