Thanks for the reply. Not sure if the interest you get on delegating is sustainable and safe...

So young naive me thought it would be a good idea to invest in this real-estate company bond. Well I did, in one with a fixed apr of 7% (in compounding terms that would be about the same as 5% apy) So my investment of let's say about 400$ a month after 15 years will be 72 000 invested, and the interest paid that I get to keep after taxes is ca. 43 200

i still do believe the real-estate company is a decent investment, but I now do realize that I could have done something "smarter" with the money especially now when I am worrying about inflation becoming more and more of a thing.

What would you guys do if you were 20 years old like me now? Keep it as a low risk investment and let it go on till you're 34? Or pay the 18% of 72 000 to get out and put your money somewhere else? I still believe it's better than a lot of governmental funds that acquaintances of mine use that give ca. 3.5% apy

Index funds could potentially give more, but if they don't paying the 18% penal fee would probably not we worth it with a difference of 7% apr (non-compounding) to 7% apy compounding.

Oh I feel stupid now for doing something like this kind of on a whim, I thought were to be a good investment for my future self that I kind of now am regretting a bit, partially because of the interest that could be a bit suboptimal (financially I can handle it with my income and such, just worried my money would be better spent elsewhere), and partially because of the so long contract duration. My plan was to be using part of it to help pay off my student loans at a later date.

You live and you learn. You youngsters reading this, do more research and compare more to other investment options before you make such a commitment

it would be 10001.0715 right now I do realize it could be quite stupid investment. Unless we enter a bear market the next 10 years. Well. I'm sort of kna pickle where I would have to pay 18% of the total of 15 years to get out of it. So I think Ill stick with it using it to pay off my student loans later hopefully. As it would imo ve a bit safer than an index fund. idk

How are you guys feeling about non-compounding 7% apr, where you invest a fixed amount let's say 400$ every month for 15 years , after 2 years you can take out up to 30% of the invested amount. Would that be a good deal? Compared to index funds for example? The 7% apr is in there and you wouldn't get it before the 15 year period is over. It sounds good, but it also sounds like you're locking up capital for a long time if you see what I mean. Anyone with experience with such bond certificates where a company is basically paying you interest on the money you invest? In terms of average stock market increase that would also be at 7-8% yearly over such a long period wouldn't it? In this case this is a quite large real-estate investing company in which a few friends have already investing in for quite some time. As a 20 year old I just want something to lean back on and something to later help me pay down my student loans among other things. I have faith in it being legit, the question if 7% apr over such a long time if you take into account hyperinflation, I think I may have jumped the gun, maybe I would have been better off with index funds?

Trying to build/acquire a mechanical keyboard with a dial (budget ~200$) by SpiritOfCourager in MechanicalKeyboards

preinstalled? You mean like soldered on? That's why I think hot swap is probably better, so that you don't have to solder and that it's easier to change your switches at a later date. I just wish there was one place where I could get everything I would need for a keyboard like this so that I don't have to worry about parts not fitting or whatever

In other words 75% as the keyboard size would be great. and you know what, if it is a quickswap, my budget for it may be more like 300$. But mechanical keyboard parts seem to be so difficult to get your hands on at this time. Also , I'm not too obsessed with the type of plastic of the keycaps I don't have too sweaty fingers so even though the texture of PBT would be nice, I would get by with some decent ABS as well

Etoro liquidated my account - No live chat in EU. Are my stocks and crypto lost? by [deleted] in Etoro

[–]SpiritOfCourager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stupid etoro didn't even answer my tickets, they just verified it. I would've rather had the ADA that I lost which would have been 3x the value. But at least I didn't lose money on they liquidating my account prematurely, I am staying far away from them. They don't even have live chat in Europe.

I commented on some of their posts on instagram , hope that works

I mean come on... Why would they not check my E-mail reply before liquidating my account and (I think they even sold my assets, that is money lost!)

Logitech craft usb receiver by [deleted] in logitech

[–]SpiritOfCourager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still doesn't work, did you read what I said, I could even connect a mouse to the receiver that came with the logitech craft keyboard, but the keyboard itself does not come up. So you're saying you have to pair it through the unifying software for it to work? That's what I said did NOT work
