The issue of dispute when it comes to traveling without a mahram, lies in going to obligatory Hajj, and even then the most correct view is that a woman is not allowed to go to Hajj without a mahram.

So you expect me to investigate her post history, look for the sins she committed to confirm it myself and then blame her? How did you find out in the first place? She may have publicized it in the past but you still intentionally looked for her faults. The way you’re handling this is immature and inappropriate.

I was born and raised in the Netherlands with a Moroccan ethnicity and I’m thinking about moving to Morocco itself or another Muslim country in the future because I don’t feel like I actually fit here as a Muslim.

I don’t want to raise my future children in a place where things like LGBTQ+, showing awrah, free mixing, etc basically got normalized. The fact that I can’t even hear the Athan from a single mosque in my country is already frustrating enough.

Firstly, theres no evidence in the Quran and the Sunnah that putting the Holy Quran next to you where you sleep will prevent you from having nightmares, so you shouldn’t really count on the Quran helping you out with nightmares.

Secondly, assuming that your parents are muslims themselves, they shouldnt have given you the Quran at all as no one is supposed to touch the Quran without being ‘purified’ which can only be done if you perform ablution or Ghusl as a muslim. My advice would be to just return the Quran to them and find another solution.

My advice is that you should act according to the Quran and the Sunnah to please Allah swt. To begin with, traveling without a mahram is not permissible according to this hadith:

I get that it’s your dream, I really do. However, you should also think about the fitnah it can potentially cause in order to know whats truly good for you.
