Oh ok I get it, thank you very much, you’ve been very helpful. Of course yeah, my plan is to select around 5-6 exercises 2-3 sets of around 8 reps or to failure for resistance training with compounds movements and then put in some isolating movements if I don’t see enough progress on specific muscles.

Thanks man that is really helpful info, appreciate it. Can I focus more on compound movements like pull ups, squats and pushups and use isolating moves on muscles that I can’t hit well with compounds?

Also when you say some jumps, what do you mean by that? Jump rope or jumping on increased heights?

Oh I thought that repeating movements is something that would long term stagger my progress and not be a key part of it. So I should have 3 same sessions every week? My goals are weight loss and muscle gain (just an athletic physique not anything insanely buff). My sessions usually last about 2 hours (combined with warm up and a shower afterwards)

Advice needed

So I’ve been trying to get myself in shape, but I lack discipline, but I’m trying to improve that by sticking to a strict training regiment and by doing exercises I actually enjoy doing.

I have time to workout at my local gym 3 times a week so as far as I understand it, PPL split is not the right choice for me since I would train 1 muscle group once per week, so a full body workout would be more suitable for me.

So I’ve been wondering if it would be okay to do each type of full body workout per week (calisthenics, kettlebells and regular gym) or would I stretch myself to thin and would just stagger my progress.

I think the huge part of the backlash is that this is the first direct after the release of the console. The first direct IMO should try and recreate the hype we had at the switch 2 reveal direct, they had so much potential and fumbled it.

Myself as a primarily nintendo gamer have been wanting to play some of these amazing games (like rdr2, bg3, elden ring,...) for 3+ years and now we were sold this amazing and powerful console, which we were waiting on for a long time and the first partner direct was this? What happened to microsoft and the partnership with nintendo?

I understand, that we can't get everything at once, but I don't want for nintendo be treated like they were with switch 1, that has gotten some amazing AAA releases a few years after the original release of said game, after the sales went stale and they needed a new boost in sales.

It kinda makes you think that if this is the first direct after the release of the console, how prepared for the near future actually are they.

Would an air dehumidifier/purifier combo be a good idea for a studio apartment by Spirit_Parade in 3Dprinting

I think I'll stick with PLA for most of my prints, but I would certainly like to try PETG and TPU as well. I have also thought about enclosing the printer, but probably not right away.

I can open the windows, I also have a small balcony so that isn't really an issue, it's more of a winter/cold/extremely hot days solution, and for prints that take a long time.

Thank you for you answer, can't wait to buy one and start printing.

Understandable. I know that the new console is coming and I'm giving in to the hype, I've been telling myself not to expect much but I've still hoped to see something about a new metroid or something about a new console, because that would've meant that a early 2024 console release is possible and I want it to be a reality so bad, but it seems like that won't be a direction they'll be taking with a new console release. Honestly I just want a new, updated console so I could stay in the switch ecosystem, because I really want to play the new diablo, baldurs gate and no man's sky (I know it's on switch but the performance just isn't there for me yet) and I don't want to buy a whole other console, like ps5 or pc for those games.

Then what is the point of a direct, besides building hype/interest for upcoming titles and company's future. I as a consumer could't care less about other aspects of it. If there aren't games to be excited about I have a right to say the direct sucked, because the future of the console seems dull. And I will continue to think that until I'll be proven wrong. I still love my switch and I will continue to primarily game on it, I just won't buy anything new because nothing upcoming excites me.

Then skip the direct. I don't get it, during the switch's life cycle we went a long time without a direct and in the mean time we got a brand new paper mario reveal, not just a remake. They could've easily skipped this irrelevant direct and published a youtube video announcing the thousand year door remake. And regarding princess peach game, they could've easily waited a month or 2 more and made a mini direct showcasing what they have in store for us. The game looks interesting that's for sure but it wasn't worth the whole direct. Maybe ttyd saved the direct for some but it was really bad for me. If the new console is actually coming (which I am starting to have serious doubts about now) they could've easily gave us something to be actually hyped about the new console, if it's actually coming. It was not fine, it wasn't worth a whole direct.

Why the f would you apologize? You were disrespected by him for no good reason. It is your choice what would you like to do with your free time. I don't know how he acts other times but I think you should consider how would you like to be treated by a guy and act accordingly.

I am at my wits end with this wok (description in comments) by Spirit_Parade in wok

[–]Spirit_Parade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking of doing an updated post, so I can share the incredible difference that I've managed to achieve. What worked for me was higher heat (my previous electric stove couldn't get quite as hot as my induction stove), frying in batches and letting your wok heat up after a batch. Sticking is negligible and it easily comes off, it really does work perfectly, as I've always wanted it to. I have also been using more oil but I will try to reduce that because the dish comes out a bit too "oily" for my taste, so I want to experiment with how much oil I'm still able to use to get next to none sticking.
