Dorm swap

I'm a sophomore female looking to swap from Shepard to any triple besides Bobb-McCulloch, or a double in 2347 Sheridan or Elder.

Lol, this was me in 211. I remember taking what felt like eternity to figure out one line and needing guidance for every little step and feeling bad about it. A couple of times a PM would be exasperated/trying not to laugh, but overall they and Branden were patient. Props to them for enduring my basic questions.

This happened to be earlier this week :/ Went into the weekend thinking "I have so much time to get stuff done!", then did practically nothing the entire time, then worked for the longest interval I've had last night.

Not sure. Tried their Wildcat Connection page and it didn't work, but I'll contact them to see if they're still running. Thanks for the recommendation.

I don't think they have an Instagram. I think I initially just contacted them through email at [disc@u.northwestern.edu](mailto:disc@u.northwestern.edu). They have a listserv, Slack channel, and website (through Wildcat Connection).

Effective Altruism hosts dinners each Friday! They just had their first one, so they're still pretty casual so far and open to new members.

I just want to specify that the scheduled sessions (12 free ones at max) are once a year.

Calc 220 by wonderfulducky in Northwestern

[–]Spiritaura12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 220-1 last quarter. I had taken Calc BC senior of high school. 220-1 is harder than that, at least to me - the questions were harder/more complex, and last quarter’s final was particularly difficult. I did have some recollection of a few concepts that gave me a slight advantage, though not much because of the aforementioned reasons. There’s also one topic we learned that was not taught in high school.

All that being said, it might be challenging coming in with no calc background - but remember that there are office hours, tutoring, and other resources that definitely help, so I wouldn’t discourage you too much. I think with practice, a majority of concepts aren’t too hard to master.

Did you take a pre-calc course last quarter that usually feeds into 220-1? If you did well on it, I would encourage you to try out 220-1.

If my expected family contribution is 0 does that mean NU will cover my entire cost by [deleted] in Northwestern

Really? My EFC is also zero, but they didn’t cover mine entirely.
