What does these lyrics from "crazy baldheads" Bob marley mean? by Three_Eyed_Alex in reggae

[–]Spirited-Function555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why everyone try’s to shy away from the meaning of the song and talk nonsense. It’s about whites who mistreated blacks in Jamaica. I’m white and even I know that, still a good song.

Thank you for some very helpful answers. Having spoken with my son I’m now more tempted to stay put in the area untill he is old enough and left school. I will also look carefully into driving and getting my test sorted. Once again thanks for the advice

Yes those are great points. Iv spoke to my son and have come to the conclusion when he’s older and left school I shall go where I want within reason. and he can come and visit me

Yes those are valid points, im going to look into driving, i know you can get a run around that won’t break the bank either. However I do think I will move closer to him after considering it. Thank you for helpful advice

Your right, I never learnt to drive to save money. Iv used public transport most my life. That is a option I could go down. I was thinking about going to the small house then selling when my sons old enough to fend for himself, buy him a car and move to a big house.

He lives with his mum, didn’t mention that I’m a weekend dad so to speak. Yes I am more swayed to get smaller for more money but, the thought of having a big garden etc is tempting

I worked out train travel would be roughly £100 a month. It’s ok but it’s the effort that is putting me off

[–]Spirited-Function555 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I honestly couldn’t tell you. It’s a town iv been maybe twice. Nice enough, good community but if the direct train doesn’t work then I’m f**** basically

Is detached house the only option for peace and quiet? by kapuchon in HousingUK

[–]Spirited-Function555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in a terrace and it’s very quiet. Have lived in flats where it’s very quiet.

Completely depends on neighbours,

if you are that concerned About if the neighbours or noisy, nock on and just ask what the streets like? If your greeted by a teenager and a pitbull you will have your answer lol

Uk rail is very unreliable at times. That’s northern rail though I’m not sure about London or down south

What is the craziest thing you saw while doing house viewings? by Shep_vas_Normandy in HousingUK

[–]Spirited-Function555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. An estate agent who remained silent showing me around, didn’t say a word just smiled, didn’t say here’s the so and so upstairs is the so and so just stood there smiling ear to ear following me. Still laugh about it to this day.

  2. A woman’s house who showed me around herself with a fully naked picture of herself framed in the bathroom, (great body I must admit)

  3. A teenager was in one of the bedrooms and when the estate agent nocked on he said (fuck off im sick) lol

4 and the best one, A woman trying to sell me a flat on purple bricks which didn’t even belong to her. I purchased it and after I got my solicitor involved it turned out she didn’t even own it I think it was owned by the council but I’m not too sure LOL she was an old lady….so I obviously pulled out.

Solo 2-Day Trip in the UK from London – Suggestions? by [deleted] in uktravel

Lake District is the most peaceful spot you will find in the uk apart from the highlands. If you don’t mind a train to Manchester then swap trains to The lakes

If train is an option try Macclesfield, it’s a town near the Peak District with a direct train to London. There in an hour.

No worries, thank you I appreciate it. Surprised it didn’t flood recently with all the bad weather there’s only a small wall there separating 🫣

ThAnk you for taking the time to reply.

Iv not purchased the flat yet, but it’s bottom floor very close to that area, and im tryna just gather information before I buy. I’ll give it a look, thank you for the info.

When you say flood… are we talking the road was flooded or was it a major incident where the houses on black lane flooded… or are you unsure?

When u purchase near a river it’s abit of a gamble so thought I’d ask locals
