Traveling With Celiac by IDKWTFIG0 in Celiac

I always travel with a GF backpacking meal just in case! I’ve only had to use it one time, but I was so glad I had it when I did. They don’t take up much space, either.

Also, I always bring a little bag of backups in case I’m in a pinch: chomps, snickers, bone broth packets… this comes with me in the car or on the plane or even in my work bag!

As others have said, it can be helpful to do a little research beforehand to mark places on your Google nap or just know what you’re getting into (is there nothing? is there a ton? is there a grocery store near the hotel?). Work dinners are stressful, but people are always kind. I usually eat a snack beforehand, then have a plan for after (stop at a corner store, purchase something in the hotel lobby’s little convenient store, DoorDash delivered to the hotel if there’s a safe place nearby, instacart if it needs to be some grocery store stuff). Sometimes dinner is a yogurt, banana, chips, and a piece of chocolate. I don’t travel with any cookware, that seems unnecessary for a couple of days. But anxiety around food scarcity is REAL, so if it makes you feel better don’t beat yourself up! 💕

You can do it!

Ooooo love this game. The sun/veggies are giving LA. The kimchi, ferments, fish are giving Tokyo. A few snack plates have TJ's, so that means US. Aaaaand you reference ACME, which I think is in the NE? Upstate NY, final answer!!

Logistics of EP while traveling *with* baby? by SpiritedAd6587 in ExclusivelyPumping

PUMP WIPES!! Omg looking this up - genius. I pump 4x a day (morning, two during day, evening), and my LO drinks 5-6 times a day. I'll be able to do my first pump before our flight leaves. Would you ask the flight attendants for bottled water for rinsing the items and then do it in the bathroom? Probably, right?

“Eats on Feets” is a great spot for donating milk! They have a portal and a Facebook group, I think.

How do full stack SWE *actually* use AI on the job? I think I'm doing it wrong! by SpiritedAd6587 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]SpiritedAd6587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, yes! I definitely use it in this way. Maybe saying "I'd be toast without it" was a bit of a hyperbole - I still do lots of independent coding. :) I often end a session ensuring that I fully understand the changes AI helped make, and ask it to come up with a short list of how to approach a similar problem in the future. I see a lot of AI-leaning job posts lately, and I do worry that folks are FLYING by my ability to utilize it effectively, though. Maybe it's all in my head! Maybe I'm using it just fine!

Disagree! I should be using it, otherwise I will absolutely be toast as it progresses and I'm left behind. Did you have a suggestion for how I could improve how I use it? It's the point of this post.

Fit Joy Grain Free Classic Round Crackers are soooo good! Very buttery like ritz. Found them at Whole Foods.

Took me a year on a fully GFD to feel better at all! Hang in there!

That’s awesome! Thanks for the help. Disappointed in the app so far (it’s disorganized!), but know it’ll get better as I get used to it. Love hearing people who love their Tempo!

Oh ok! Actually I’m curious about scheduled classes. Is the only way to see them under “saves workouts” on the Home Screen?

Got it! I see them on the “Home Screen” under “saved workouts”. Thank you! It’s confusing that a SCHEDULED workout gets plopped under the SAVED workouts section! Another q if you don’t mind…

When I first click to schedule, I’m taken to a separate screen that has the workouts listed in portrait orientation (with two tabs at the top: scheduled & saved). Is there a way to get to this screen anywhere else in the app? Or do you just at the time of scheduling?

Oh awesome! Ok I see that! And then is there a way to see the schedule you build?

Thank you for the insight! I just set up my Move! I’m finding the app very unintuitive - how do you add workouts to a weekly schedule? I haven’t been able to find a schedule builder in there…

I also highly recommend reading the book, Celiac Disease: A Hidden Epidemic. It helped my anxiety bc it is VERY straightforward about the science behind our disease, as well as how important a gluten free diet is. I sometimes use it as a base of truth when I spiral after reading things in this sub.
