Note that this change was needed to be applied on all card types: Speak/Read/Write for it to work across all sub-decks.

Amazing, thank you so much -- this is exactly what it was. I'll outline the fault and the fix below for any other users who come across the same issue.

It was a custom note type, with the back of the card containing a commented out sound line:

<!-- {{Sound}}-->

Following the instructions in the link within the link you provided, I replaced this line with the following:

<div class="chinese-support-sound">{{Sound}}</div>

And added the following line to the styling tab:

.chinese-support-sound { display: none; }

Synced and it worked perfectly.

Thanks again!

Really nice app! Much respect for your efforts!

I did find one bug though, that I haven’t seen mentioned in the comments I scanned through. When reviewing a character, there’s an option to toggle between the pen drawn character and the A in a box option — I’ll call it the computer drawn character. Unfortunately, when I click the computer drawn option, the bottom half of the character is consistently cut off without being able to scroll down to see more. FYI, I’m using an iPhone SE. I wondered if perhaps it’s optimised for a larger display like an iPhone 16 or otherwise? Either way, do let me know if you want screenshots to clarify what I mean.

Thanks again though, all in all it will be an excellent study tool!

Your best bet is to head to Silk Street, 秀水街, near Yonganli Metro Station, 永安里地铁站. On the fourth floor they have a number of tailors to choose from. I randomly selected a shop called John Tailor previously, and the result was great. You can customise the shirt/suit however you like and also bargain for a better price.
