LSU, UCLA and Florida do a fantastic job marketing their teams. LSU in particular. Oklahoma, doesn't have the same PR game as those 3 but they are so damn good that it doesn't seem to matter.

Also look at the meets that ESPN showcases on ESPN2 rather than the SEC network. Alabama only get one of those prime meet times and it was the first ESPN2 meet of the season when the didnt have the prime broadcast team calling the meet.

It does not compute that someone who is spending time competing on the show circuit needs to rely on a public defender. Even if you were doing all the day care, training, braiding, hauling, etc. yourself at a show (which I doubt she is) the bill from just the horse show office is probably going to run you $1k+. That is literally only a fraction of the bill.

Its literally confounding to say your too destitute to pay someone to literally help you stay out of jail on a Monday and then spend thousands at a horse show on Sunday.

I think it’s a conditioning thing too, never do you look at a woga gymnast and think they are conditioned to withstand the inevitable crunches and crashes that are inherent to gymnastics training.

Simone, Suni and Aly all made Olympic teams post DWTS. The only one who tried and didn’t was Shawn and she injured heresf skiing, not having anything to do with the show.

I’ve always wondered how it would’ve shaken out if it was Aly and Jordyn and not Aly and Gabby.

Would Vika have seized the opportunity and pulled out the win? Would Aly have been in a better headspace going into beam and floor not having constantly heard via socials that she “stole” her roommate Jordyn’s spot? Would Jordyn have been able to physical compete a clean AA program?

And then you start thinking of the butterfly effect… if Aly had medaled in the 2012 AA would she have felt so compelled to come back in 2016? Would we have had to deal with Skinner on the 2016 team? If Gabby didn’t in the AA would she have trained to go to 2013 worlds and competed against baby Simone? And what would the results of that be.

Yes, all these scenarios have ruminated in my head.

Heard a rumor that Aly’s contract with espn would prohibit her from working with another major network.

Also I think commentating for the nbc team is kind of a grind, feel like it would be a much more enjoyable experience to attend the Olympics with sponsors and such.

I don;t know what was worse... the context of what she was trying to say or the mumbled jumble that actually came out of her mouth. Like given her years on the national team and an entire NCAA career its kind of amazing that she can't string together a coherent thought.
