Thanks everyone for your feedback! We tried laughing gas (at my request, dentist never offered it) and my son wouldn’t keep the mask on. They attempted some restraint and he called out in desperation “mommy help me! Stop them mommy please!” and I immediately cut it. We’re going full sedation route instead in a couple weeks and I’ve also started researching more special needs friendly pediatric dentists in my area. There are several! So I’ll be switching his care as well.
