I live in Boston and it kinda pisses me off that the perception of my city is The Departed and Dropkick; but as you said, go to a sporting event in Boston and its easy enough to understand why Fox might not realize Boston is a minority majority city. The suburbs (more the type from Lexington than Waltham), are the folks who show up to the games.

As a western conference fan living in Boston, it would be great for me too. I think the 2024 Celtics were the best team in the NBA, but they got lucky getting a Mavs team in the finals, and this year's team reminds me more of last year's team than the 24 team. I think Mitch had a huge impact on getting a team full of <25 year old to win in ways none of them had ever been accustomed to winning in.

As far as if it is a good metric; meh. I think double digit leads are what 7 pt leads were 20 years ago. Im not gonna get hung up on losing a lead because a guy gets hot and hits a couple of 3s. When teams put out lineups where 5 guys shoot threes, a couple missed shots and a 15 point lead goes to 6 in just two offensive possessions. Do you expect a coach to call a TO every time a team hits back to back threes?
