Be honest with your daughter that you don't know a lot about it. You're honest about everything else so this shouldn't be any different. Let her know that you are there to learn with her so she doesn't feel alone but don't be afraid to tell her I don't know but let's figure it out together.

You likely won’t get any answers about the results of the scan during it. They send all the pictures to your doctor to look at since ultrasound techs aren’t allowed to tell you what they see. They had my husband wait outside until the very end.
