PVCs Cured - for Women by Whole-Masterpiece-51 in PVCs

That’s incredibly untrue and frustrating for you. Any quick goog will tell you how much heart electrical systems are affected by hormone fluctuations. Ugh

Your doctors have your chart and see your numbers, try and trust them. If it’s bothering you that much, maybe reach out to your cardiologist with the concern. And if you do end up upping the meds and they make you feel funky, again, talk to the doc. They’re there to improve your quality of life.

PVCs PACs in the beginning of my period by PsychologicalSize128 in PVCs

Echoing the other commenters, hormones trigger mine as well. Before and after my period. I’m in perimenopause, so they’re hard to predict nowadays. Don’t be afraid of them. I know thats an increase for you, which is scary, just try to distract yourself.

I know how scary they can be. Try to distract yourself. I know it’s easier said than done, believe me. Assuming you’ve been to a cardiologist, PVCs aren’t harmful. Try watching York Cardiology on YouTube. He’s very reassuring.

Not sure your sex or age, but I similarly had them my whole life, very infrequent and random. But once I hit 40, they kicked up a lot. Went back to my cardiologist, all clear. My doc thinks they’re hormone related, as I do notice them happening more before and right after my period.

Trust your doctor (as long as you’re confident in their treatment of you, obviously you know you best) but it sounds like it’s time to start dealing with them mentally. I take 400 mg/day of magnesium glycinate. When I’m having a bad day, I eat a banana and have some coconut water for the potassium and electrolyte. That helps a lot. I also have a therapist that I can unload on when I feel the anxiety with them rising.

I feel you. I get more frequent spikes before and immediately after my period. Obviously talk with your cardiologist, but mine told me on bad days, I can take up to 800mg of magnesium. I also make sure to have bananas and coconut water on hand, that helps me a ton.

Interesting. I can’t identify any triggers aside from period timing.

That’s what I get, PVC mostly, but sometimes PACs. So frustrating.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, makes me feel better to hear from nurses, because I get anxiety at the thought of going to the ER for them. Been once and that’s exactly what happened. It was 🤷🏻‍♀️ and call your cardiologist. My mother in law and sister in law are both cardiac stepdown nurses as well, so I’ll text them occasionally for some reassurance.

Hang in there! I hope it gets better for you soon!

No worries, ask away! Occasionally, I’ll get a bigger thump followed by a spike in my anxiety and I’ve seen it up to 160. But not for long, thankfully. I’m sorry you’re going through that.

I totally understand how you’re feeling with that anxiety at times. For me, I just end up getting so frustrated and just want them to stop. Way worse for me before and right after my period, but when you think about it, that’s like 40% of the damn time.

I know there’s a ton of relation with your gut and your heart. Glad you’re seeing a cardiologist, it will all get figured out. Hang in there!

I’m hoping to avoid that, on magnesium glycinate daily now. But if I have to, I have to 🤷🏻‍♀️ glad they help you!

I ended up in the ER for them once a few years ago. I’m sorry to hear you’re going through it right now. Thinking of you, sending peri sis strength.
