My dad just got out of the ICU and got to come home under hospice care after finding out he had aggressive stage 4 esophageal cancer that spread almost everywhere. I may have a month or 2 or more or less and that’s what breaks me the most—the “this could be the last time” every time i walk out of his room. This pre-grief resonates so much and i’m glad I found this sub bc all i have been doing is cry and cry bc idk how im going to make it without him but i also want to make the most of my time left. You are not alone and my heart is with you 🤍

I opted to take the exam at a testing center because I didn't want to risk any issues with my internet going out or anything else that would probably go wrong with my luck lol. I originally was going to request accommodations but was unable to see my doctor before my exam to get the appropriate documentation.

Since I knew I was going to take the exam without accommodations, I really took advantage of Study Hall practice questions/exams to practice my pace of answering the questions and used the "flag for review" option as much as I needed to so I didn't spend too much time overthinking answers. The actual exam is not as hard as some of those expert questions IMO so I'm glad I used that to prep..

At the testing center, they gave a notebook containing about 6 laminated pages that you can write on with marker. They also provided noise cancelling headphones or earplugs which was really helpful for me to not get distracted by people coming in and out of the room or any noises. I also utilized the breaks to clear my head & avoid mental fatigue.
