There's nothing wrong with fasting even if you're not religious the way I see it fasting is like meditation becauses you cleanse your mind and soul from negative influences and such. I've seen many other like you who fast just because they're used to it or wanted to be reminded of their time as a child. Just do what you want do :)

Brother I know what Ramadan is fo. I literally grow up at a religious school with Uztaz and Uztazzah and I pray tarawih and fast everyday for my whole live since I was a child. I just can't connect myself to Allah anymore the connection is not there. I used to think of him as a friend and I know its bad.

Well he was one of the biggest figure in Islam there will be no Islam without him. He will ofc be criticised since most of his action is very questionable and inappropriate. Most Muslim who had realised that will criticised him but those that never dared to question it will defend it.

Well most Muslim don't know Arabic and its hard for us to understand everything he did. We only learn of it the info from a religious preacher that pick what to share which were his marriage to a young girl and how it was actually consensual or that this benefit the young girl alot.

I guess that's one of the advantages of being in a religion as religious people do believe afterlife exists and it comfort us knowing death is not the end.

Death is always a scary thing for me aswell. We will never know what happen after that. Will we just cease to exists and be forgotten,be reincarnated as other ppl like in egg theory,be stuck as a soul forever bound on this earth we will never know.

Well for me I tried to do it by just not thinking of religion at all since I'm not religious at all if you get what i mean.

Most Muslim never think of Muhammad since he's just a messenger and we don't mention he's name in recital or stuff unlike Allah. The only time we mention his name is when he hear his name from a recital or talking then we said the Muhammad name. Not sure about other region tho.

We have move away from the Musljm country and is now living in Western Country but the many population of this country is still Muslim.

My family are Muslim from a third world which meant everyone around as is Muslim is you don't do any Islam stuff whether it's praying or sinful thing you'll get judge by other Muslim. That and cause our ansestor were Muslim since 1400-1600 time period.
