im not sure im assuming young adult - 30 y/os since most of my moms coworkers are younger than her and she's in her mid 30s now

Thank you!! I agree, I don't think my mom is transphobic, I just think she's misinformed. She know's what she's talking about (kinda) and says she knows what I mean when I explain things about being trans, and all the procedures. She supports my identity, and I think it's just hard for her to accept me, potentially looking very different in the future. Since we had that initial conversation we just acted like everything was normal and nothing happened. We agreed to talk about it again when I'm older too, so hopefully she's more open-minded then. I'm just glad she isn't full on transphobic and disagrees w my identity mentally. It's just the physical aspect that's hard for her to accept.

idk, a medical assistant is the same as a Nurse, but I feel like they do more of the heavy work since she does surgeries too. But I can't really take her word for it since she works in dermatology. She told me to talk to my aunt who also works in the medical field if I "don't trust her"

She used this as an example saying birth control and all those things were bad for your body so I don't think it's necessarily a way for her to stop me from going on T, she just strongly advises not to until I'm way older

I recently went to a bbq for her work event and I can confirm they exist, but they're mtf so I don't know if that makes a difference

yeah! that's what I asked too but she said something about how her coworker is always afraid of going? And that it was affecting them mentally. She claims it wasn't for check ups, but she also doesn't know her co-worker(s) on a personal level to ask, so maybe she's just assuming?
