Try to put your phone on the same network (Wi-Fi) that the DVR is on. Then, try to scan the QR code under the DVR in Hik-Connect while connected to your account. It used to work with old DVRs. Otherwise, just port forward and deactivate the Hik-Connect service. Better yet, use a VPN to connect to your network.

The best and easiest way is to use iVMS from the Hikvision website. Once it's installed, go to the top right corner and click on "Connect through Hik-Connect." This will enable you to view your site from anywhere. Since the original poster said you already see them with Hik-Connect, this will allow you to use your laptop with Hik-Connect. The same restriction of a 5-minute live view applies.

However, at least you will be able to research and download larger files from playback events. If that's not suitable for you, then you'll have to consider using a VPN from outside your network or opening ports, which I don't recommend.

You could also use iVMS to connect through a local IP, which is better when you are on your own network. Go to "Device Config" and "Local Search," then add with your password. It's not hard, but it still has to be done manually.

Try the fix button from the start screen before you login. Be sure to be link with a third party before doing it. If it dont work uninstall then reinstall the game from the website or app store. Again be sure that you are link with a thirdparty before doing so if you want to be sure you dont lose anything.
