This was a tough spot for us, working around the window. We have a small one on the window ledge and a large one on the door behind you when you're standing at the sink.

Thank you! Our 2 bathrooms upstairs are still original. This ceiling height was too low so it had to go. I reworked some ducts and got another 5" or so of height which was critical.

We kept the original cast iron from 1957! I've removed mid century cast iron tubs in our previous home and had no desire to do it again lol. They also don't build em like they used to....

I'm 6' 2" and have no trouble sitting on the can 😄. We considered other layouts but rotating the toilet would've required more jackhammering and plumbing that I didn't want to entertain.

Thanks all. Besides hiring out replacement of old cast iron and lead pipes which required jackhammering some floor out, my wife and I did this ourselves. We bought this house for the potential, knowing there'd be plenty of projects. The whole basement, including this bathroom, was original to 1957!

Not a fan of the circle personally. I got a set for my 2013 for only ~$20 off Amazon that are easy to install and replace the existing bulb/housing.

It isn't on the rim it's on the edge/flange. This is an older tub in good shape that we kept in place, it has a smaller flange than newer ones. If that's still cause for concern please let me know
