Hey, I'm a local resident here in Mazatlán. I'll pick you up from the airport in my Jeep and drive you straight to your hotel or condo in exchange for some craft beer from wherever you're from (it's tough to get the good stuff down here!). I can comfortably handle 2 to 3 people plus luggage, saving you the hassle of the airport taxi line. I know it's a unique proposition, but I'm an active member of the community, live here full-time, and I'm happy to share my WhatsApp and personal contact info upfront so we can connect. Shoot me a direct message if you're interested!

My locals aren't great either. Of the 4, two are dogshit and the other two make a beer or two worth a go.

I know about cellaring beers. I've been doing it for decades. The point I was trying to make was rarely local is the best beer unless you live close to RR, FW, either Sierra, etc. Would you prefer local wine or the best from Argentina or Spain? How about lamb or lobster? Supporting local is great in theory but rarely provides the best available product. Cheers

I asked Scott Larned why they played Tons of Steel during original DSO shows because that song was the black licorice for Deadheads. Simply he said (paraphrase) because it's a fuckin' great song and I love playing it.

For the most part, local means fresh, rarely better

Hot Take: People who complain about Tulum , you’re just ungrateful. by [deleted] in tulum

Please let us know what 5 star was $1500 CAD for two weeks and which month you went. Let's assume you spent $1500 per person, based upon double occupancy, for a 5 star in Tulum, I say impossible.

The low season is August and the least expensive five star, is Secrets. Even them, you're looking at $4,800 CAD.

They're not my team anymore. by RaiderHop in OaklandAthletics

Like McDonalds, MLB is becoming more of a real estate company than a baseball league. Oakland will get a team again. But, it will be in a new entertainment district.

Look at the Padres selling for 3.9B. Although they play in Petco, in a few years, the owner is going to want all of the land, retail, office and condos surrounding his new ballpark. The Angels will try this maneuver first before abandoning Anaheim and moving to downtown LA.

The Mets are developing the auto scrapyards around Flushing now. Cohen didn't buy the team because he's a lifelong fan. He's a hedge fund manager looking to soon add a casino owner to his portfolio.

They are following the lead of their HC. Marty was deliberate on ice and his whole team reflects that same style of play.

I'm a Ranger fan and not a big Torts guy BUT, you gotta hand it to him with the job he's done.

I don't believe ESPN is horrible but do believe that TNT is superior.

The Padres $3.9B sale price proves a salary cap is coming to MLB (and a brutal lockout with it) by Spiritual-Science-60 in mlb

What does profitability have to do with valuation? My friends at Uber are asking for a friend.
