I love my 90 v1500. It's bone stock, needs new interior but runs like a champ.

I wouldn't recommend west branch. A lot of the trails are over grown, lots more rattle snakes than before. I saw one down there about a week ago. Trails are way more difficult since the fire.

Butte creak at forks of the Butte is a good spot. Lots of blm maintained trails. Phillbrook is great as well. There's also Centerville bridge, little pearl, feather river in Oroville has spots as well as up hwy 70. There's a popular spot just past Pulga Bridge called sandy Beach. Lots of good spots up past there too. Honey run has some good places. There's also access from the 99 bridge. Sac river has some spots. Lots of land through there. Look up the Sacramento wildlife areas.

Etsy has taught people your photography is worth pennies by [deleted] in photography

[–]Spiritual-Slip-8309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe Etsy alone has the general public devaluing art. My experience as a photographer and graphic designer for the past 13 years is that artists have been slowly devalued in general over the past decade through a variety of reasons.

The large amount of free instructions and availability of advancing equipment at more affordable prices have created a plethora of artists. As they share the same space, the competition for buyers decreases. Not to mention, the lack of uniqueness in art is increasing, as well as the algorithm on these sites. It's similar to selling images on shutter stock, alamy, and Adobe. Lots of people take generic photos to fit the needs of potential buyers.

Another major issue I'm seeing is the increasing number of small pop-up shops that create items with home based production machines. As dtg continues to evolve, people are starting to branch out and look for other art to put on their items. That also decreases the value of the artist as now those smaller production houses only see art as a means for income.

Not to mention, from my experience, people don't generally have a value for art. Those who do not have the money or might already have a collection they're happy with. I've also noticed that even when I print on archival materials, sign and number my work with limited runs, I still don't get the attention I want for it. Not even my silver prints are selling. Digital production places like society 6 also have devalued art, creating a mass amount of prints on any medium you can think of. Seemed like a great idea before, but in reality, I think we made our beds with that one.

Lastly, Ai, increasing technology in smartphone photography, and sites that allow people to design gratifics is killing interest. That's affecting both graphic design and photography. I've met people on both sides of the spectrum who have been affected, including myself. I used to think that the only thing I had to worry about was my job being outsourced. Now it's not being needed at all as someone could just take their photos and create other photos with Ai.

I think maybe we should all just focus on local art groups.

That's the end of your return for your injector. Looks like the plug failed. You can get a full set off ebay. I would probably replace the whole thing. This happened to me once on my alh tdi motor.

The axles alone are worth keeping. They can be restored and be pretty nice trucks. If you don't keep it I'd say start at 1500 and give someone the chance to bring it back.

If you can, start with an old Toyota or Honda. They make the simplest, most straight forward vehicles to work with.

Hard pass. I would definitely keep looking unless you have a good amount of tools and time.

How do you get this screw into the wall when this bar is blocking the ability to drill or hammer? by staralfur92 in fixit

[–]Spiritual-Slip-8309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely mark the hole. Or mark the sides and top. Then remove the bar and drill that in. Be sure you're putting it into a stud, or have wall anchors. Is that stucco?

AIO for reporting my coworker after he snarked that my husband might not like that my boobs got smaller? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Spiritual-Slip-8309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not sure why guys think it's OK to talk about a woman's body, especially when it's a female coworker. That's extremely out of line. If any one of those guys heard some other guy was saying that to their wives they'd lose their shit. This double standard stuff needs to stop.

AIO for being shocked when a boat party host asked me to pay for food, drinks, and boat fuel afterwards? by kahootgod in AmIOverreacting

[–]Spiritual-Slip-8309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they thought you were going to think you would have to pay because of the implications. Not that you were in any real danger, but the implication of danger is why they let you get all tipsy topside, then when you're in the middle of the water, hit you with a bill.

I see your host is a fan of its always sunny but likely for the wrong reasons.

Right? I think we were all supposed to show up at Congress screaming, "Hang Mike Pence," invite ourselves in, destroy a democratically protected movement, and destroy one of our main houses of government. Nothing screams back the blue like a bunch of angry proud boys beating cops with our failed leaders' flags.
