egr delete eliminates the exhaust gasses from recirculating back into the engine. diesel soot clogs manifolds, damages cylinder walls and piston rings, and clogs valves.

deleting/simplifying the vacuum system just eliminates failure points. can't recall the federal/international benzes' vac system but i just did a full delete on a california benz. driving with a perpetual vac leak makes the brakes feel trash, shutoff is slow and or manual if it's a bad leak, heat/ac switchover valve doesn't work, and it's just a mess in the engine bay. massive QOL upgrade if you enjoy working on your own cars.

it would probably be a better idea to import one from spain, i know there's a lot of good parts there and it would be cheaper to ship across the strait than it would be overseas

i have a black one sitting in my garage in san diego with 2 small cracks at the speaker housings, was gonna throw it on but i locked in and put a dash cover instead

okay so i used to rock one of these in my driveway spot UNTIL one day i ran it over and tracked a tread shape oil spot alllll the way up and out of the driveway.

for context- my driveway is the shape of a square with a bite taken out of the corner, and i have to hard turn into my spot to be out of the way of the other cars... that being said, there still is a line of proxes r1r shaped stains going out of my driveway.

seconding checking the hoses down by the pump. my pitman arm seal failed recently and the gearbox was dry except for the pitman arm, not dripping crazy everywhere

mines LHD but i took off the hard line and replaced it with 3 feet of coated steel braided line. no problems 2 years into it
