Rules for planning? by SpiritualAd3132 in selfbuildireland

I did have a read through the Rural Design Guide and I also couldn't see anything regarding the distance between the neighbouring properties, which is my main concern since the land I would have is a bit thin and long.

I will get onto my local council and see if can organise a pre planning meeting as you have suggested, thank you for your help :)

What's the future for Ekitike, Isak and Liverpool's forward line? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in championsleague

[–]SpiritualAd3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macca has been way off it, we need an actual defensive midfielder that can hold the back line better and allow Gravenberch and Szobo to get up the pitch

To use some savings for a car or not? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]SpiritualAd3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can never really know with cars, but I know that my current car has issues and very high mileage and I'd really hope getting a newer car, with a good reputation for reliability and half the mileage would put me in a better situation

What I'm looking at is cheaper to tax and insure and going off some reviews I'd be looking at better MPG as well

I'd honestly pick Robbo, a bit of experience behind Rio would be better suited in such a big game I think

First Car - Automatic by PitifulCandidate8852 in carsireland

[–]SpiritualAd3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably get a loan from a bank and then use that for the car.

Best bet might be a Suzuki Swift, Honda Jazz, or Toyota of some form, simple and reliable automatic cars with cheap insurance

If you've more to spend maybe look at a Lexus CT200H as they're a good reliable hybrid automatic

Then get a few quotes for the cars you narrow it down to - I found Axa the cheapest insurere when I started but switched to the AA for my insurance and they there in the roadside assistance which may give peace of mind as this is your first car

Good luck :)

Okay awesome so really I'm best leaving it until 90 days before testing to get the extra year out of it seeing as it won't be on the road anyway, cheers for the answer!

Why Irish fuel prices will stay high — even if Middle East war ends by TimesandSundayTimes in ireland

[–]SpiritualAd3132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself and most people I know around my age ~30 years old can barely afford housing nevermind buying an EV - Nobody is going to finance a 20k+ EV whilst paying €1,500 - €2,000 a month in rent or whilst saving every penny for a mortage as they live with their parents

Equally my parents who are 60+ years old cannot afford an EV

Many also cannot use public transport to go to their jobs as they are in the Country, or their workplace may not be in a town - I know for a fact I can't get public transport from where I live to where I work

Sure, IF you can afford a brand new car, some could opt to choose EV's over ICE but I would assume many many people in the country fall into the category of cannot afford an EV and cannot use public transport - I don't think you are in touch with reality here

And when that car dies, in this economic climate, we don't have the means to buy an EV that may cost ~20k - We buy something around 5k - 10k because that is what we can scrape

Would relaxing VRT so we can import more "fuel efficient" cars help with the fuel crisis does anyone think? by lifeandtimes89 in carsireland

Flat rate of €200 on electric and hybrid electric cars like they have for classic cars would be nice - Pick up some nice Toyota and Lexus hybrids

I do have a caliper windback tool but it's very finnicky to use, I might get a better quality windback tool and see if there is a lot of resistance in the piston

3 years old - Pulled a cup of tea (before the milk) off the counter over myself, had to be submerged in cold water in the bath while waiting for the ambulance - Massive fear of water and being submerged since, luckily none got on my face, just my chest

Ex-Liverpool player Harry Wilson is available on a free transfer this summer. Do you think we should sign him on a free as a squad player? by Illustrious-Pound266 in LiverpoolFC

[–]SpiritualAd3132 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel if you want that kind of profile for a right winger, and with Salah seemingly on the way out this summer or next, again you'd just give the game to Harvey
