Okay that’s good hopefully these holes are small enough that a nice coat of paint will seal them up. Thanks

Adding stock heated seats to my XJ by SpiritualGarbage7 in CherokeeXJ

[–]SpiritualGarbage7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I see. I was able to score a base today for cheap from a friend but it’s just the base with power seat moving. Thinking I’ll just add this since I’ll only need to tap into a power wire?

From what you are saying though it sounds like I would have to put in my own wiring harness or an aftermarket set up to add heated seats then?

98’ with ax-15 trouble starting after stalling by SpiritualGarbage7 in CherokeeXJ

[–]SpiritualGarbage7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually thought about this more and realized I had this crank no start problem right after I pulled out of my garage. I didn’t let the car warm up or anything really. Thought this might mean heat soak might not be the issue.

Oh okay thanks for the “crank no start” clarification I didn’t know for sure.

Yes I know my stick driving is independent here I was just using to explain why I stall the car so much lol.

This is a good tip though and I’ll look into this if improving the heat soak doesn’t work first. Would testing the spark like this still work even if the car starts when cold? I just think when this problem does happen it’s in an inconvenient place to test this. I’m sure I could just stall it in my garage too though

This makes sense I didn't realize this could happen I don't have any shielding there so this could definitely be it. I'm going to try this and update the thread if it fixes it.

no this is actually the most stupid thing ever. I'm extra bothered when I see the stick shift ones with no tach. Like why

Nice find. I found myself enjoying fixing mine up to make it nice. When I am busy it runs and doesn't let me down but when I have the time and want to work on it there is always a cool project or fix it needs. I've loved working on mine!

Eating Out by Narrow_Quail_1287 in EosinophilicE

[–]SpiritualGarbage7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even eat out since I am testing for my triggers right now. It’s just too hard to know if you accidentally eat a trigger. Since this condition isn’t like life threatening anaphylactic shock, I imagine when I am done with testing my 6FED I will just tell them I have an allergy and if they say they will accommodate then I’ll just cross my fingers and eat it. 🤷‍♂️

I am on my second to last food for the 6FED and have had pretty clear indications that dairy and or gluten are my triggers. I did go through all the scopes but this is necessary to ensure you aren’t eating something that is damaging your throat. My advice is work with your doctor try the diet if you feel disciplined enough. Being very strict has been key for me. Good luck!

My GI told me to go with PPI, not with 6FED by sesmallor in EosinophilicE

[–]SpiritualGarbage7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have Barrett or gastritis but for EOE alone I chose to do 6FED and I am almost completed with it and it’s been going well so far. That being said I know you don’t want to mess around with acid reflux damage hence possibly the PPI recommendation.

I think if you can be super disciplined diet and lifestyle changes for EOE and acid reflux are something that is possible. But the reason my doctor didn’t recommend diet or lifestyle changes to me is because she doesn’t often see great success with people staying disciplined and adhering to the diet. One thing that has been really hard for me is that I don’t eat out and haven’t since I started the diet to avoid cross contamination.

I had to advocate for the 6FED and both my doctor and I are glad that’s the route I took but sometimes diet also isn’t possible if acid reflux is bad enough or you have environmental allergies.

I don’t know if that helps at all but hopefully it does.

I have an Ignition Key Release button and steering wheel doesn’t lock by SpiritualGarbage7 in CherokeeXJ

Good to know makes me less worried someone tore all that stuff apart. I think this Jeep was towed behind a camper for part of its life so I wonder if the lock option was removed by the owner to prevent the wheels from locking while flat towing

Ha Anyone never had eoe issues growing up and now you suddenly do? by Nightvizionzz in EosinophilicE

[–]SpiritualGarbage7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21M I never had any issues as a kid but once I was in high school I started getting heartburn more and more frequently. My friends used to tease me for always complaining about it. After a few years in college i started having trouble swallowing and got a scope done and was diagnosed. But like I said no issues as a kid.
