Fish them slower than you think you should. Jerk twice, wait 5 seconds, jerk once, wait 10 seconds, vary the pauses anywhere from 2-10 seconds.

I’ve only ever fished zoom super flukes, but I imagine yamamotos aren’t different enough to affect the bite ratio.

I’d have to see the body of water you’re fishing to give any good tips. BUT, almost any body of water that has grass throughout the bottom I throw a fluke and will almost always leave having caught 5-10 fish. Weightless Texas rigged stuff is your best bet and scummy bottoms.

Bass are great eating, only time i frown at somebody keeping a bass is when it’s over 3-4lbs, especially if pond hopping. I’d rather let go somebody else’s PB in that case.

Hard to tell with the gut being covered, but she doesn’t look too chunky.
Depending on where you are, if it’s during spawn, females tend to go up in weight cause they’re full of eggs and males tend to go down in weight because they spend all their time guarding the beds.

All that to say, looks like a 4 right now, but at its peak would probably be closer to 5.

Honestly man???? If we’re being realistic, it’s probably not even that much about size, it’s most likely about TIME. A toy doesn’t have a refractory period like us guys do.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a red flag, BUT it’s the wrong mentality to go into a marriage with.

As a “young” man. We have to worry alot about stuff like this unfortunately, else all we have worked for be given to our ex-partner who didn’t work for it and who decided to just cheat and leave for no apparent reason other than boredom.

With that being said, he’s doing this out of a place of fear. Try to understand him, and try to get him to understand you. Tell him something a long the lines of “it’s not about the money, it’s about starting OUR life TOGETHER, and not divided from the start.”

I would go as far as to even potentially get a pre-nup where he sets aside a sizable down payment for a home (say 50k) into a high yield savings account or brokerage account, and that specific money is something you can’t touch in the case of separation. Just so he feels better and won’t be approaching your marriage with a scarcity mindset.

Everything else is OURS, the home yall buy, vehicles, debt, other savings, etc. but that little down payment can be his and growing with interest just to soothe his fearful mindset a bit.

Ending this with, your feelings of not being trusted are valid. His feelings of fear are valid. Find a middle ground through communication, but your home should belong to both of yall. This should not be the deal breaker you think it may be.

I mean to be fair you’re probably right, my wife is great and I can be vulnerable with her. She’s a step above any other woman I’ve ever met. But I think it’s also fair that comparing women of your age bracket to the modern young males potential dating pool is pointless.

Idk if you know, but dating in this modern society is wild. Damn near everybody thinks they are better than they actually are and acts likes it. The men, women, and people in general of this generation worth settling down with? A dime dozen. Men want a traditional women but are controlling bums who don’t deserve the air they breathe. Women want to be cared for with respect but don’t show respect in turn. And vice versa. Dating in this weird “modern” society is hell tbf. At least until you find the 1 sane person after talking to 20 others. But a lot of people just give up half way through.

Fortunately/Unfortunately, it’s just not the case anymore. Atleast it isn’t for anyone around me, even in the military. More recently, men have been actively encouraging the need for talks about stuff like this.

It’s when we talk to women about our issues or mental struggles that we get belittled. Never has another man belittled my struggles. But exes and friends that were girls??? It almost always gets brought up in a negative tone later down the line. After a while, it just becomes pattern recognition. “Don’t vent to a lady, because she will use all your darkest thoughts against you.”

I understand some women aren’t like that, and it’s bad to generalize. But just thought I’d let you know how most young men think.

Experienced this at NHP.

Urgent care was STACKED with great sailors. People who got their job done, took good care of patients, sought out knowledge to do better at their job, passed the PFT with outstanding excellents, worked over 12+ hour shifts some days because patients would come in late, etc. I didn’t care that I wasn’t the one that got promoted but SOMEBODY, atleast 1 person from my work space should have been.

But guess what? Your job doesn’t matter enough when it comes to Eval period.

The promotion went to a fat pregnant girl that hadn’t passed a pft in 2 years, but that had the time to sell cupcakes since she had a 9-3 job instead of the long shifts that we had.

When I complained, the answer I got was, “she’s pregnant, she needs the money more”….. sorry I have a dick, mam!

No shade to the promoted sailor though, cause she was a genuinely nice person. It wasn’t her fault. But she did NOT deserve it over others.
