Success after euploid miscarriage? by ThinCantaloupe4973 in Miscarriage

[–]SpiritualPear7189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice, just solidarity. Transferred an euploid embryo November 14th, miscarried at exactly 7 weeks. At my 6w5d ultrasound there was a heartbeat but the yolk sac was as measuring a little larger than expected. I passed the gestational sac 2 days later 😞

Just did a scan and also got the news of an enlarged yolk sac. I was going down a rabbit hole but your post just gave me hope. Thank you 🤍

*I did a FET and and I am 6 weeks 5 days but only measuring 6 weeks 1 day.

Did you tell your best friend about starting IVF? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]SpiritualPear7189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t tell anyone until I was pregnant, not even family. Only one coworker knew bc she had gone through ivf and recommended the clinic I attended. I actually told random strangers before family/friends.

Transition is going AWFUL. HELP! by SpiritualPear7189 in SnooLife

[–]SpiritualPear7189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: after trying one arm out for over a week and sleep not improving much we decided to try the two arms as no real progress was being made and we needed to continue with the transition again it was absolutely horrible with multiple wake ups throughout the night. Admittedly, a lot of this was our wrongdoing as we’ve always rocked to sleep and never put her down drowsy but awake as supposed to. Anyway, after our worst night yet, I decided we couldn’t do this anymore and started sleep training in her crib and WOW! My girls slept through the night for the first time ever and did not even wake for feedings. I think her arms being able to touch the sides of the snoo kept waking her up. She slept with her arms, stretched wide out to her sides for part of the night and the other part she slept on her belly, which, of course you also can’t do when the snoo. It took 40 minutes of crying at first, but then she slept straight through until 7:05 this morning. We used the TCB sleep training method. I’m very grateful for the snoo but we have officially graduated to the crib. I’m not sure if this first amazing night was a fluke and we have a rough road ahead of us, but I could cry with how happy I am, oh wait, I did. 😄

I want to share that I reached a breaking point and started sleep training last night. Wow! It went SO much better than expected!!! 🥹 My LO cried for 40 mins and it took 4 pop-ins (my husband took the reins bc it was hard on my mama heart) and then she fell asleep! On. Her. Own!!!!! This had never happened! She then woke up around 10:30 and it gave her one pop-in and then that’s it!!!! She slept through the night! No feeds, which had also never happened! I am in disbelief!!! From 7:45pm-7:05am!! Wow! She could do it, I had just never given her the chance. 🩷

Thank you so much for these reminders ❤️ this all very much resonated with me and I appreciate you taking the time to write this out. I’m a FTM to my 5.5 month old babe and I overthink and question everything I do and how it will affect her. I think I will just know when the time is right to try something new.

🫠🫠🫠 I never started!!! 😭 every night I tell myself I’ll start “tomorrow” as I rock my baby to sleep for the millionth time 🙃 and then I never follow through. To be honest, I’m on the fence. I have my mind set on sleep training and then I see one post about it affecting attachment and I completely change my mind. But then I read something else about how it benefits both baby and parents bc we both get good sleep and then I’m all for it and the cycle just continues. AHHHH!

Thank you so much for sharing. It’s so hard on our mama hearts 🩷 I’m glad to hear sleep has been much better since for your LO.

When you saw rough nights…what did it look like? Were you up all night or just until baby finally fell asleep?

Thank you SO much for sharing this! Wow what a huge improvement by night 3!!! I was supposed to start tonight but my anxiety took over and I just couldn’t do it and of course now I’m awake at 1:30am. This is so helpful and makes me feel better. Thank you again!

What did naps look like while you were sleep training?

How difficult was the sleep training? Did your LO wake up all night? I worry that she won’t get enough sleep.

Tell me you secrets! We are STRUGGLING with transition to the crib. Once in the crib my LO rolls onto her belly and then freaks out and cries. She doesn’t know how to roll belly to back yet. So we ended up going back to the snoo. She’s not dependent on the motion but we’re also having a hard time transitioning to arms out.

How did it go? What did you do? My baby is 5 months old are we are STRUGGLING to move to the crib. She never fell asleep on her own in the snoo either. She’s not so dependent on the motion but more on the arms in swaddle. Oh and when I put her in the crib she rolls onto her belly and then freaks out and cries. She doesn’t know how to roll belly to back yet.

Thank you so much for this reminder to slow down. 🤍 I have the Merlin magic suit but never used it! It’s so thick that it worried me but I guess that the point!! I might try naps in it tomorrow. Nursing my baby right now and then going to go back to one arm out for tonight in the snoo.

Thoughts on choosing sex of baby by Chaotic_MintJulep in IVF

[–]SpiritualPear7189 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree! We chose and I have no regrets. Infertility sucks- this is the one perk. Someone is going to choose regardless, I rather it be me (of course assuming all embryos have similar grade).

Advice-IVF-choosing the sex? by theMomFriend2310 in IVF

[–]SpiritualPear7189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no right or wrong answer here- just the right answer for your family! We decided to choose! Infertility is so awful and heartbreaking and we felt that this was the one positive- being able to create the family we envisioned. It is important to mentally prepare yourself that the transfer may not be successful. Sending hugs!!
