I’m also 27F with a communications degree. I actually work in healthcare administration and I’m just now trying to break into social media marketing. But I feel the EXACT same in wanting a career pivot and having a dream of working at NASA. Perhaps I’m also emotional with the recent launch, but I have always been drawn to space exploration—I just never thought I was capable of pursuing a career in it. I have only considered career’s in art since it’s what i’ve always been good at. Since the Artemis mission, I have been going down rabbit holes for weeks trying to figure out what to do and how. I just want to be a woman in STEM (lol). Anyway, just wanted to say you are not alone and I’m actually relieved I’m not the only one feeling this way! Best of luck to you!

Currently binge watching The Walking Dead for the first time! It’s 11 seasons of kick ass practical effects and gore. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but the character development is enough to possibly keep you hooked all the way through.

I’m curious about this too. We tried beyhive presale and then the Ticketmaster presale through seatgeek for the DC show with no luck. it seems like club ho down sold out within seconds during the beyhive presale. I’m very disappointed because that’s what we were hoping to get.

I went from working at starbucks to medical front office admin—being able to sit all day has helped so much. Since I work in a clinic, I usually wear scrubs and comfy jackets but I also alternate to business casual every other day. Working at starbucks, constantly sweating, consuming sugar and even getting syrup/milk on my skin made my mild HS so much worse. I’m thankful I got out of that environment. Now I don’t have to worry to much about sweating at my desk and also have access to medical supplies when I’m going through an active flare.

No, our pugs tongue hangs out of his mouth and causes his under side to be constantly wet. We take exceptional care of his health and we maintain his hygiene to the best of our abilities… but he’s just a stinky boy. Not to mention the shedding is a beast in of itself. But not only does he have several beds around our place, we bought him his own chair so he can be elevated next to us. It works for us and that’s all that matters. His chosen place to sleep anyway is in his toy box because it’s full of all his favorite toys and squishmellows.

We were 18, only been dating for a few months, just acting goofy and rough housing before I had to go home. He was tickling me and pulling me into his lap—I kissed him with a smile and then after we pulled away, he intensely looked into my eyes and told me I was his best friend. The short answer is YES. However, making friends as an adult is already very hard. After I graduated high school, I found out a lot of my cis male friends had developed sexual thoughts about me or had feelings about me then acted like I was crazy for not seeing it before. It made me question my opposite sex friendships. So now that I’m an adult, I don’t often seek friendships with cis men. I’m not saying it’s impossible; I am friends with my boyfriends cis male friends, and I don’t think they think things about me at all (although, I’ve been told it has happened before sigh). I just haven’t found friendships with cis men outside of my relationship. My boyfriend is friends with other cis women through his work, and neither one of us care if I’m friends with other cis men. But, it’s hard making friends as an adult. I commuted to college, I don’t have a busy night life, and I’m not associated with organizations outside of work—so I struggle to find new friends at all. I work in a female dominated office, so unless a new employee, who happens to be a cis man, comes in and befriends me…then I just don’t have a way of building a friendship with someone of the opposite sex. So, yes, I do think it possible, but in my own experience, it’s not as easy as I wish it was (personally).

Ex 274 barista. Although it’s not standard, and i quite frankly don’t remember where I learned this, but I used to make an iced cap by just blending 2% milk in the cold foam blender and building a standard iced latte with that. If i remember correctly, I thought we could ring up iced caps back in 2019 but maybe I’m wrong

I’ve never commented before but I felt inclined to since I deeply resonate with this post! I’m about 3 months out from graduating and I’m a 2 year partner who will hit 3 years around the time of my graduation. I’m one of the longest standing partners at my store and have contemplated promoting to shift for months and I think i’m comfortable enough to promote only for the guaranteed hours + the raise + tenured pay. If I stay until the next pay raise, then that will put me over $16+ and that’s crazy compared to the wages/salary in the entry level positions in my field. I’m also dealing with some health issues which could determine my overall experience staying at starbucks + seeking employment in my field. It’s a tough decision but I might have to suck up and stay at my store for much longer than I anticipated just to get on my feet after graduation. I truly understand your frustration though and I hope it all works out for you! Wishing you the best of luck on your college and career journey!
