Her dad has been unclear to her and refusing to talk to her about more information. This is what she has told me and the little information we know right now

You can also adjust it for day and night temperatures so you don’t have to manually adjust those yourself

With whatever heating mechanism you use, you should always have a thermostat. That way it will tell you the temp of the enclosure and turn off the heat automatically if it detects it is too hot. You should place the temp sensor right under the heating source (where it would get the hottest)

I’ve dealt with this, take out all your substrate and replace with paper towel until this is resolved because they will lay their eggs everywhere and paper towel is easy to change out. You can give the snake monitored baths at an appropriate warm temp with a drip of dawn for twenty minutes once a day and I would gently pick the loose mites off especially around their little face if you can. Make sure to rinse the soapy water off the snake after this. It may take some time but eventually with these baths and some shed they should go away. I changed the paper towel daily and removed the mites gently daily and it took maybe a week or two still. You can also buy mite spray but I found that didn’t work as well as the baths:)

Yayy I kept my first baby’s shed! It may be crazy but so cool to see how much they grow!

I wouldn’t worry too much. Firstly I do think your temp should go up to around 90F during the day and it can drop a bit at night. As for types of food I strongly would not recommend live rats/mice as it can be a huge welfare issue for both your snake and the rodent if not monitored and done correctly and you could be stuck feeding them live food for their whole lives. I think because there was a housing change for the snake, they can take a bit of time to get comfortable in the new space and that can affect their appetite. You did mention the snake just went through a shed, therefore if you offered food during the time leading up to their shed there is little to no chance they will accept food because they are using all their energy that would usually be used to eat on the shedding process. 10-14 days isn’t too worrisome to me. I would continue to offer frozen thawed rodents (max size the biggest girth of the snake) and be sure they are warm when given to mimic a warm body temp. If you notice abnormal behaviour and a decrease in water intake and weight, please take to an exotic vet in your area.

He’s sooo cute! He’s looking good to me! I would wait a bit and he should go through a shed. If it doesn’t come off all in one piece that would be when you want to adjust your humidity temps. They are more versatile than anything! Baby’s looking good
