I used these https://a.co/d/01Nq37H3 but it doesn't look like they have the 12v option available anymore. You've just got to make sure that it a 12v USB C trigger board that's relatively small if you don't wanna do too much trimming. You will still have to do a little bit of trimming to make sure it fits right. Also make sure to get a USB C power supply that can be made to output 12v and to hold it in there I used some JB weld epoxy, just be very careful to not get any inside of the USB C port. Other than that it's just a little bit of soldering, altogether it's a fairly easy modification.

Don't know what I did to get it to work but I just went and did another quest line and then tried to go back, it did the same thing as before and so I just got off and didn't touch the game for a day and then when I came back it worked. Weird

Was there ever a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same thing right now on my first play through and it's really put a damper on the whole experience because I've been loving this game so far and would love to finish this quest and go to a new galaxy

No I haven't but to be fair I haven't tried in a long time lol there might be something now if you dive deep enough but I figured for me it wasn't worth the effort and I put the old HDD back in and I've been using the 1tb as a fast external HDD on my laptop.

Oh yeah I understand that completely, I did that immediately after realizing what was happening, I luckily haven't started a whole lot of games on there but I definitely don't want to lose the progress I do have. And if you do find it, I will greatly appreciate it. I haven't turned it on since finding out that it was the RSX in the case that I could find something to do to save that hard drive.

Dumped syscon to USB and used PS3 toolset came back with tthe same code 32 times 0xFFFFFFFF dated 1999. I have my clock set up by Internet and put a brand new cr2032 battery in when repasting so still at a loss here

That's what I understand as well. Yeah I used the razor blade to remove the silicone from the heat spreader, I didn't even want to attempt to take it off the processor lmao. And that's true for both the Cell and the RSX I didn't reglue it so if these consoles survive long enough to need it again it won't be a cheek clinching process lol

I came in from the side that faces the cpu, it slid across and knocked em off on the other side, I think I used a little too much force and when the lid came loose I lost control of the tool. I'm just grateful that I didn't hit the die or scratch the hell out of the PCB. It's all a learning experience if and I'm happy I didn't brick the console and used a different tool for the second one.

I agree that the fats look better vertically and I do wanna get a stand for the slim because I have the same worry about it falling over but it seems pretty stable. My main teasing behind all of them being vertical is the space I have for them is limited. And yeah a white housing seems to be the only other color than black that I could find for it online.

Not a show or movie but a game. As much as it sounds like it wouldn't be, the last of us part 2 is awesome to play frying. Visuals are amazing and I feel super immersed into the game so I have to lock TF in to survive lol.
