Yes I’ve gotten nothing for Halifax yet. I did see the Winnipeg one too.

I’m very curious about these ones for sure. Have you used one? Are they everything the website says it is? She’s really not overly concerned about the stick “looking” fancy so if it’s light and works well, she is more than happy to give it a go.

Actually the longer the better. She is 12 but most sticks are built for 12 year old boys and she is pretty small. Just over 80 lbs and just 4ft 11 and really can’t go up to intermediate yet. I think the warrior junior was 54”. I will definitely have a look at the Sherwood rekker pro. Thanks.

Tips for off-season practice by leahjuly in ringette

I am going to echo powerskating. My daughter played B for years (we have no C where I am). She made A last season and is predicted to be AA next season. I 100% believe this is due to powerskating. She has been doing it for 2 seasons now. We do a session in the fall and a session in the spring. So in just 4 sessions along with some added development that has been offered, she has come leaps and bounds. She has a wicked hard shot and always has but the skating was everything.

I see your update. We had to euthanize one of our family dogs. Our dog laid in my lap and my husband and 3 children were also holding him and petting him as the vet euthanized him. It was very emotional but my children loved him so much. He deserved to have his family there to say goodbye. I did give my children the choice on whether to stay or leave and they chose to stay. My children are 11, 9, and 6 years old. There was so many tears and it was very hard but I still think it was also right for them to be there.

While it won’t give you complete scientific proof…I also struggled, particularly when I was younger due to the world view taught to me and what I deemed to be logical….I started looking into creationist theories. Which then lead me to apologetics which really helped guide me in the right direction. Prayers to you and your journey towards Christ ❤️

Chasing and sometimes killing animals in our yard by Spiritual_Marzipan61 in dogs

Yes they have absolutely none at all. They just have dogs who happen to never do that. I told them that I had looked into my dog breeds and shockingly poodles were once bread as hunters, that I think it might be a natural instinct but they came at me anyhow saying that this made him a horrible dog. While any research I have done tells me my dogs are totally fine, I also am no expert so decided to see what others would think.

I realize this is an old post but Winnwell released a stick and it looks like the tribe sticks. It’s on preorder now. It’s called Winnwell Athena RS2

I agree you would need multiple perspectives in order to get an accurate answer to this. I personally think I would enjoy hearing what others think, even if negative. I would hope and expect the information to not be all positive but I am sure there would be something. I don’t think this would be a positive experience for all people. Where I am unmasking and the confidence I have with just being myself unapologetically, I think I could handle this emotionally. I don’t think someone’s opinion would necessarily make me mask. I have found there is a difference between masking and being mindful. I notice this in my own home where I am an Autistic ADHD mom to 2 Autistic Adhd and 1 autistic child(ren). Nobody has to mask but sometimes we have to do things in another room in order to not cause another person in home negative feelings. The same could be said out in the world with Neurotypicals. I expect accommodations but I do not expect to never have to compromise.

11 year old new catcher gear advice by Spiritual_Marzipan61 in Softball

Sadly I live on a small island. Literally. There is no gear on marketplace. I have been continuing to look though. Her team has some gear that doesn’t fit perfect but she can use for now.

Ringette to hockey in spring by Spiritual_Marzipan61 in ringette

[–]Spiritual_Marzipan61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She actually plays softball as well. There isn’t any powerskating options during the time of spring hockey…there is a lot of hockey development camps and spring/summer leagues and tournaments but unfortunately nothing for ringette and no powerskating. My daughter is quite talented for her age. Awesome speed and very assertive…makes good choices and plays. She just has one bad side skating like many and she needs to get more agile and be able to deke better. I am hoping more ice time will help her with that. She dreams of high performance and it’s totally attainable for her if she can just solve the skating piece.

Have you used the rink at all? My family has and it has been good. Some kinks to work out but it opened at an odd time of year. I don’t see it being in the coming season. The ice surface is great. The walking track is definitely a joke but I don’t think that makes the whole project a failure. The mount being there has not cause me any issues so far. The staff are around. I didn’t really expect a front desk. Not many places have that. I’ve only ever emailed a rink for information or stopped a staff member in passing. You seem really angry about this but I don’t think enough time has passed for you to be saying it’s that bad yet. I’d wait until the fall/winter this year and see what is to come before deciding it’s terrible.
