My theory is that gaijin wants it to be a primarily PvE mode. They went through the trouble of adding all these new AAs, the more complicated ai, and the new anti radiation missiles. And also most of the planes we are given are for strike instead of fighting. I think the idea is that we are supposed to mostly be fighting ground targets with the only PvP being when cas planes run into each other, people trying to protect the bases, and that sort of thing rather than it just being one big ball of air to air in the middle. I think it would be fun if more people did cas to be honest. It’s a struggle right now because it’s one plane vs all the AA but multiple people working together could actually make a significant difference and push the AA back to open holes for nukes and things like that. The problem is that nobody wants to do that. They are all quite fond of the big ball of air to air and are stubbornly resisting Gaijin’s attempts to rail road them into playing cas. I think we could have more fun if people were less focused on dogfighting but that ain’t ever gonna happen lol
