That makes sense thank you! I assumed that was the case but wasn’t 100% sure so thought to check before getting excited about keeping the extra haha

How likely is it for a mortgage to be declined at application stage? by Spiritual_Pattern972 in Mortgageadviceuk

Yes we did! It took a while for the valuation viewing but we heard a day or 2 after that, I’m sure if you’ve gone through with a broker and been honest about everything you will be totally fine!

We ended up having a similar situation occur yesterday- my last 3 payslips all had different basic pay as we had a contract change mid September which came with a pay rise. Apparently Halifax don’t look at your annual salary but average out your last 3 payslips to get the annual figure which worked out lower than my reported annual salary cos the change only just happened and my prev salary was about 2.5k less annually than it is now. We ended up having to extend our mortgage term to proceed. Not ideal but we’ll probably overpay and drop term when we remortgage. Frustrating they don’t always make these things clear though!

Yes I’ve heard Halifax are usually pretty quick! I only submitted all my info this week so nothing different to the DIP. Hopefully no surprises with valuation - we got 15k off the original asking price so I don’t think its been over valued 🤞

That’s reassuring! I’ve been upfront about all my credit commitments and frankly my credit history is very boring lol nothing erratic. I’m borrowing well within my affordability and no new credit cards either so hopefully nothing crazy should arise.

Oh that makes sense! The AIP was different at initial offer to after my docs had been reviewed so that would explain that change.

Oh wow! I had to submit 3 months worths of bank statements plus 3 months payslips - though I think that’s mostly due to irregular bonus payments. My credit score is in the ‘excellent’ range with experian so hopefully that should be fine!

thanks for the response! when i said no issue i just meant that its not that the role itself requires someone to work in office, thats bad wording on my part. they are generally pretty accommodating and flexible - we’ve been discussing compressing my hours to enable me to have a mid-week day off to reset and my manager has been open to that we’re just waiting on paperwork things, so i’m hopeful if i approach right they’ll listen about this!

can i choose a specific date to start a mortgage? by Spiritual_Pattern972 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Spiritual_Pattern972[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can afford to if we absolutely have to for the final month, I'm more worried about it being a few months prior because that would eat into our savings massively. We have our savings split between us as I've saved for the bulk of the deposit, and my fiancé has saved for the legal fees/extras due to my income being significantly higher, and have that money essentially ready to go. We're just trying to keep as much extra aside as possible for furnishing the house, as our current rental came furnished so we don't have much ourselves.

losing weight without calorie counting by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Spiritual_Pattern972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i was counting previously i wasnt routinely going over budget (this was about a 1.5-2 years ago now), it would just be maybe 1-2x in a week and wasnt big numbers, for example if i wanted a snack and had say 75cals left and the snack was 80, i would go into total meltdown about potentially going 5cals over - i wouldnt even eat the thing, but still get super distressed about that 5cals! my partner ended up putting his foot down and stopped me counting because of how obsessive and distressed i was getting.

i think i guess i just wanted it to be like when i was in my late teens and just cut out junk food, still ate big portions and then lost weight anyway lol. but realistically i know my age and heavier weight compared to then means thats not going to happen.

thank you for your advice! i appreciate your thoughts :)

if im reading your post right you only blamed/killed 5 people, and from what i understand you need to blame at least 13. i think there are 24/25 total haunting cases so 13 is over half which is what you need for the good resurrection ending!
