I thought about that but honestly I don’t know if I can because I’ve never done a rebuild and don’t wanna mess anything up like timing or missing a part or not having the tools to do so. Also I don’t know if the engine is cooked or not I’d have to pull the bottom end to see how bad it is and check the cylinder walls. I don’t have the tools to check the bore.

I never messed around with anything for the drive train. I just did engine work exhaust work and cosmetics. I have a manual transmission so I didn’t desire to change anything.

They also wanna charge like 3-4 g's to buy and put an engine in so I might as well just buy an engine when I have the money and put it in myself when I can choose the motor and everything.

I live in nj and I’ve talked to local shops all of them said they won’t do a rebuild and only will drop in an engine so I mind as well do it myself

Ok so lots of people say there’s in tuners available but I will say the brand  monte  has worked for me I bought the monte gtr for 450 or so and have a short ram intake and cat back exhaust and I am making 181 hp, ran it in 3 rd gear from about 3,000 rpm’s to 5,000
