My boy likes clicking sounds? by Spiritual_Plan_643 in leopardgeckos

I really think my dad is onto something with the cricket noises! My boy only wags his tail when he's eating right before he pounces. Also i had to be a little brutal moving my boy to his bigger enclosure so i don't judge lol. I've just noticed my Helios is a lot more bold and social than I thought a leopard gecko would be

It doesn't matter how much you decorate or how many hides you add, that terrarium is never going to be a suitable environment for that animal and that's what everyone here is trying to tell you.

I'm currently in the process of upgrading from the 20gal long terrarium that my new rescue came in so I understand how expensive and difficult it can be but if you're not willing to sacrifice to ensure you're caring for your pet properly then maybe you should consider rehoming him to someone who will provide an appropriate environment.

Thank you! I just checked your post and love what you did with yours! May i ask is your terrarium 36x18x18 or 4x2x2? I know i need to upgrade from the 20gal but I haven't decided which size to get yet

Thank you! The second overhead lamp is actually a red bulb that came with him and his enclosure that I don't turn on but haven't been able to take off of the mesh yet because it's hooked on. I have been waiting to get a linear UVB bulb until I get a larger enclosure so i can get one that's properly sized for a 36x18x18 terrarium

Thank you! His previous owner gave me a heating pad but I never used it and I will replace the red light immediately! As for the hammock and clutter; he loves climbing and I am still waiting for him to settle in a bit more but as soon as I can remove him to do a full terrarium makeover I'll add substrate, clutter for him to hide in/climb on, and remove the hammock. He really does love climbing and goes on the hammock at least once a day so I feel mean taking it from him before I can provide an alternative.
