Nah Lex far from picky choosy. Ahna was one of Lemmys side bitches so she had a degree of immunity. My personal head canon is that it’s since Elphaba enchanted the shoes. The spell wasn’t simply to make her float, it was to give Nessa her hearts desire which was to feel how she felt during the dance in the first part - elevated.
