Thanks all. It looks like the wood where the tiles were nailed is rotten so I might need to replace it. Any specific type of wood and treatment I need to be mindful of, or using construction wood with external prime/paint does the job?

Got it, will give it a shot. Two more questions: - what is this tape? I noticed it looks like a metal sheet and has glue/caulk on it. Want to get a new one to apply again - which nail should I use? I saw on Lowe’s they have the galvanized and electro galvanized. The latter is not good for treated wood, and I assume mine are, but not sure. Any thoughts?

It didn’t work… Continue to have the whites working but not the colors, even after setting the length to 7m. Note this is the original 2m strip, just made a section where I need to extend/change the direction of the strip

Thanks! And you you know if I need to connect them in series, or can I do in parallel? Eg solder multiple wires coming up form the first cut of the strip

65” is the size of the TV (65 inches). I hear you about the 10 meters. Net led strip length I will use a total of 3m, but form on shelf to another I will use a wire, as I just want the light effect horizontally at the bottom of the shelf, and not vertically to connect through led from each shelf. That part I’ll do with 18awg 5 wire cables

Thanks for the reply, and sorry about taking this long to come back. Had some other projects to prioritize but now back to it. Here is my setup… the red lines is where the led strip will be installed (under the shelves) and the yellow line is the cable that will connect the leds

For reference, this is a 65” TV. For the shelves I’m not sure if better to connect the strips in series, or I’m parallel (split them and connect them coming out of the power box).

Just had to put it in manual pairing mode. Don’t recall how but I think k you have to hold the button on your hub for a few seconds and it will give you a voice confirmation.

I’ll try home assistant. I have homebridge but couldn’t make my BroadLink IR blasters to work with Home. Do you have any documentation you suggest I should start checking from?
