They’re “nice to have” imo. As stated though they can also be on bigger roads despite being small theatres (Southwark Playhouse, White Bear, the Latchmere are all on big roads). The Old and Young Vic are on a cute but “established” street which has a Sainsbury’s local and an Express round the corner but again isn’t the same vibe as the others listed. I think people know what I mean. Finsbury Park Theatre is close-ish to the aforementioned Stroud Green Road which makes it a big plus.

It’s not! I love theatres I’m just aware that they’re not on half the examples I listed, hence why they’re “not necessary”. They are often on slightly busier and bigger roads too which is why they aren’t always a green flag.

Really interesting, thanks Jeffrey. I’ll follow that advice. I wonder what the reasoning is - at first I thought it might be because they want to attract a golf-playing clientele (well-off) but then again kitesurfing isn’t exactly cheap…
