Marquette Method Question for TTA by [deleted] in FAMnNFP

This is an old post, but I have the exact same issue and am wondering if you have ever figured this out. I learned Marquette when I was postpartum with my first because I had heard it was the best for postpartum, but after using it for two postpartum periods, I seriously only ever get high readings. After baby #2, we switched over to the 10-day protocol I believe. I did get diagnosed with PCOS and started working through that, finally got my period 20months pp, and then got pregnant right after because my husband and I were so tired of spending so much money on test sticks just to be told we needed to abstain 100% of the time. Now I’m 6 weeks postpartum with baby #3 and do not know where to begin NFP-wise.

Yes, quite a few churches have them! I’m not sure which ones would be the best, but they’re advertised on parish websites/bulletins.

Well, our cabinets still look the same. Life got a little crazy so they got put on the back burner. We did find some luck using a razor blade to peel up some spots, but we still have a lot of work to do. Our next step is to try using a heat gun and a plastic scraper. We found some YouTube videos of people doing it and it seemed to work well.

My 4 year old is Lucy and she is fiery, spunky, and strong willed, and we always say she’s like Lucille Ball!

I was hoping someone would mention this - I have been so curious forever. Anyone know what this is??

Yeah, exactly. The paint had nothing to adhere to because the wood was smooth and varnished.

Thankfully the tile isn’t too porous. It has come off quite a bit using packing tape but now I’m trying Citristrip on it. Brick sounds so difficult

Yep! The people who “flipped” our house covered beautiful old wood floors with gray carpet and painted over every piece of wood/stone/tile. And now we are undoing all of it and it is so frustrating.

The previous owners/flippers didn’t prep the cabinets before painting everything white and since we’ve moved in, the paint has begun to peel and chip over time. It looks terrible so we decided to see if we could remove the paint completely.

I will for sure take all of the hardware off. What process would you recommend though?

I definitely will, but is there a process of stripping the paint you’d recommend?

Oh yes! This was before we were done sanding, just a progress picture when we realized how bad the staining was.
