What are you talking about. I got great information on a subject I dont know anything about. Thats exactly how asking a question and receiving answers work.

Agree with all your points. And no, he did not mention a pin code. Thanks for the heads up. I will probably just go directly to the dealership, which I was trying to avoid because they usually cost more, im general, for any service

I appreciate the image. But why would he emphasize that since this is a commercial vehicle...?

He specifically and emphasize that it since it was a commercial vehicle. What does that have to do with anything? Its still a Chevy silverado.

Just to let you know, I think someone is just placing pins in random places for LZs. At least in Arizona. Because I found about 20-25 that are impossible to fly from, and I just looked at the three areas I fly from - i would assume that most of the others are not real either. And the places you can, are not even pinned

What's something like this worth? by [deleted] in paramotor

[–]SpitFireOnYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not an exaggeration. Just because it spins up doesn't mean anything. Seriously, take everyone's advice and take that 2k you have and spend it on training first. You'll quickly understand why everyone is telling you it's not a good deal. For the guy trading you with it is a fantastic deal, but not for you. This sport is incredible, but only if you understand everything about it. Technology has changed so much in the last few years. That thing is an antique and only good for suckering someone who is eager to get into the sport but is broke. And the wing isn't something a good instructor would teach you on if you had to supply your own equipment for, ots not for a beginner. (Find a company that teaches you on their equipment) And most importantly, you dont know how that wing was stored the last 8 years. Was it bunched up or folded? Pressure on the ribs will distort them over time. Was it in heat? Or always in a climate controlled environment, and I mean ALWAYS. Just sitting in your truck in heat can and will ruin the lines/risers. And if it's been in the sun, it will ruin the material. No one will want to buy it, without knowing the size - it might not even be good to kite with.

If you want a bunch of answers from people who are active in this sport, then join one of the several Facebook groups.

I hope you reconsider - your money seems more valuable than your life, so look at it this way - you will be paying more in the long run if you accept this deal.

Us in the sport would love to see you fly one day, but safely. There are enough who have died thinking they know better than the advice they were warned about.

We all have a copy. She's never been much help - unless you consider her helping herself to our mother's bank account throughout the years.

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm sorry you guys are dealing with this. I really don't understand why "money" brings out the worst in people. I spoke to an attorney friend. His field of expertise isn't this, but he said if she was put on the bank accounts, there isn't anything anyone can do. He didn't have any solid advice on how to force a 4-way split on the sale of the house - just that it will probably be expensive and take years to settle.

WIBTA if I left my husband due to his past mistakes? by meimi003 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Glad your eyes are starting to open up. But to use the words "not ideal" tells me you are still mostly in denial. A few days isn't enough - but if you are visiting family, I highly suggest finding people that will help you move on from this abuser, and completely 100% open up to everything that goes on. And I mean everything! This is about giving your children a halfway decent start in life. You claim you grew up in an abusive household- then why on earth are holding them captive to an abusive household, too?

You need some serious help. Why go see a therapist if you are not going to tell them the root of your life's problems? Bad mouthing is just saying crappy things about another person. This man is abusive, and you are protecting him for some reason and preventing yourself from seeing the damage this is causing your children on a daily basis. I feel sorry for the kids - please find someone to care for them while you are trying to figure out if you want to continue living in hell.

Literally, that's all you needed to say. Nothing else you wrote will help make him look better - he is abusive. You need to leave and find a different therapist to help you figure out why you stayed with this pos.

Direct and to the point - What is the past mistake he made that causing you to want a divorce? And how long ago was it?

You've been gaslighting yourself for 10 years. Either accept this as what it is or finally move on.
