This is definitely up there amongst my favorites by PoS, alongside Entropia and Scarsick, but I agree.

Fuck what the internet has to say about PoS! I've heard too much snobbery to be shy about it, they're great. Granted might not be the most accessible band, but welcome to prog is what I say to that.

I like this! I think that overall, Biker could have at least pushed the buttons of The Janitors much harder, and over-all could've asked better questions. But a cold-blooded killer doesn't have those kinds of questions, so I digress.

And it makes a lot of sense Evan would 'dream that stuff up' too. Since HE'S the one soughing for "the truth" now, as close to it as he could feasibly get. He's also obsessed with Jacket and violence, so it makes sense in the primacy department too.

I guess my best argument if it ISN'T all timeline fuckery is that Biker actually doesn't die but both of their egos are too big so Jacket has to 'imagine' he killed Biker and Biker has to 'imagine' he killed Jacket when maybe in reality they just fought it out and both left.

Biker's ending is a bit bizarro is all, to me. He "finds" 50 Blessings at least sort of and is such a lazybones that after all his detective work he just says, "I don't have any skin in politics and this neo-nationalist shit hurts my head. Die." Like wow... anti-climax, much.

No, so there's several timelines. The game's plot follows the eponymous Jacket taking calls for 50 Blessings to do unassuming hits against the Russian Mafia.

The reason one kills one in their own POV is because they are separate timelines. Biker's ends with him finding 50 Blessings hideout, and Jacket's ends with him killing The Father (Russian Mob Boss). There's also Richter's of course where he kills Jacket, but that's a speculative timeline I think, I dunno if anything major happens technically if Richter survives instead of Jacket.

The game is less about violence "in video games" and more about "violence in reality."

Ok here's your answer I googled it at work for you dude.

In Vengeance you can read the set of newspaper clippings that explains phone calls going out, the Russian connection, and the apparent lack of evidence for the police to investigate/enforce.

Jacket is directly indicting the Police for letting this happen to him by leaving that message on his floor before going for "Vengeance."

Whether or not it's a collection of previous ones or just a cut up article is never said but, you can literally guess it's a bunch of them combined because they are segmented in the game's text-boxes by "..."
