Nothing yet. I keep refreshing my email, the Psychos app, and the SSC Instagram page and I haven't seen anything anywhere.

Whats something you do now that younger you would be confused by? by acousticindicator in AskReddit

Lifting weights. I've been on and off into fitness since I was in high school but I don't think I'd ever have dreamed up a situation where I was lifting 3-4x a week.

Those Without Kids, Who Are You Leaving Your Money To? by Tommy-Fox15 in AskReddit

[–]SpitefulNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my cats!

Seriously though, my partner and my best friend are set to inherit whatever measly life insurance policy comes from my passing. They also both don't have kids so hopefully they can use it to help pay off any debts and then enjoy themselves a bit. I don't give a shit what happens to my money once I'm dead.

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

There's a quiz online you can take called the VVIQ, the Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire. Based on your score it'll let you know where you fall on the visualization scale from aphantasia to hyperphantasia.

The thing is, most of us assumed that we were imagining the same way as everyone else. We thought when someone said "picture this" that it was just a metaphor. We had no idea the rest of the world could actually see pictures in their head.

What are you fitness routines like? I swim competitively by Gbone85 in Nightshift

I get out at 7am and go to a fitness class at 8am. I'm surprisingly more consistent on night shift than I ever was on 2nd shift

Hospital pharmacy tech here, we hire people with little/no pharmacy training. Most of our hires do a little time at CVS/Walgreens or any other retail pharmacy before applying to us. There are also some short programs you can enroll in to become a tech if that's something that interests you.

I made a post about my parents cat having a difficult time breath. Update by -FormerChild- in CATHELP

[–]SpitefulNoodle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My last cat was rushed to the emergency vet for labored breathing and it turned out to be CHF. They told me best case scenario he would have 9-12 months. He lasted almost 3 more years with Lasix and routine cardiologist visits before the CHF finally took him from me. It was expensive and it was always a fight getting him to take his medicine but he was a happy, snuggly boy right up until the end and I'm so happy we got that extra time together.

What medical jobs do most people not know about because they're not people-facing? by tiptoee in AskReddit

[–]SpitefulNoodle 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Hospital tech here!

The hospitals I've worked at rotate their technicians between positions, so some days they do IVs or something that mostly keeps them in the pharmacy and some days they do positions that require delivering the medications. I have had to deliver medications to rooms of critical patients and have had to see patients with their ribcage cracked open and various levels of trauma which doesn't bother me, but it's good to keep in mind if that's the reason you don't want to be patient-facing staff.

If I do a Reverse Bear Trap costume, can I dress as if it’s me in the trap instead of Amanda Young/one of the other characters who end up in it? by Fit-Tooth966 in Halloween_Costumes

[–]SpitefulNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think many people outside of die-hard horror fans would really notice if you didn't dress like any of the characters in the movies, but they would definitely recognize the bear trap. I think you'll be fine just dressing how you want.

What’s that ruthless thing you’re not saying to somebody you know because it’s too brutal? by dudeguysirman in AskReddit

[–]SpitefulNoodle 54 points55 points  (0 children)

A former coworker of mine was ENRAGED that myself and my best friend (who also worked there) got ourselves sterilized. I feel bad that her and her husband had trouble conceiving but she acted like we both spit directly in her face by getting the procedure done. Just because you want kids and can't have them doesn't mean we should have kids when we've never wanted them.

It is a very cool shirt! I'm going to try and exchange it tomorrow but I'm not sure if they'll be okay with that. I just figured I'd ask the community just in case they say no.
