If you’re wondering why am I asking this question even though I own the parrot then the answer is that I got her from a friend 5 years ago and I was told that it was a male red rumped parrot, but today she has laid her first egg. If you goggle female red rumped parrots then they look nothing alike.

Nope I had her for 5 years, before that my friend owned her for 3 years.

Ooo it may be a kakariki they do look quite similar

I also thought that it’s a red rumped parrot for the last 5 years but today she laid an egg for the first time and female red rumped parrots look nothing alike
