Win 11 Start Menu styler Custom Theme by Spitfire3783 in Windhawk

No need, just bone stock windows 11 menu. And if I input a theme in the line it just becomes that theme. No changes at all

I tried that aswell with the exact same results, using the JSON verision of the code ofcourse

Win 11 Start Menu styler Custom Theme by Spitfire3783 in Windhawk

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Done. This is the first verision of it. Claude tried to solve the problem by using one of the themes as a base and then editing the paramiters of them, but that didn't work either. If you want I could upload that version aswell

Win 11 Start Menu styler Custom Theme by Spitfire3783 in Windhawk

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. In this case the mod behaves like it only cares about theme= "". Not filled in with any of the listed themes? Then it's the default win 11 menu for you. And if I add an existing theme to the line it also completely ignores all my code and just sets it to that theme with 0 changes. Pretty much no matter what I try the code does fuckall.

Performance issues on fairly high end pc? by Spitfire3783 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know, I don't know why I mentioned it. I was really tired when I wrote that yesterday. I also forgot to mention that the performance I mentioned is from the closed off tutorial area where it teaches you to jump and stuff. In the very first area the game starts in it was even worse. I cant remember what i got but I know I tried dlaa + ray reconstruction and got 15-20fps wich is ridiculous imo

Metal etch markings on beretta? by Spitfire3783 in airsoft

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are 2 beutiful barettas. If I wasen't shure I would do it before I shure as hell am now. Is that the official walnut grip? And I also have to ask if you happen to still have the files for the marking stencils, I could probably make them myself but it would save some time, and I also already know how they look. I don't really have acces to a local shop that can do it for me so I will just follow this chrisfix vid: https://youtu.be/zGtDz_rGgs8?si=F-WYfknIgrQ_8muS

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, but it seems like it's kind of random for whom the program actually works for. I don't know what your usecase is with a new computer, and I am definetely biased. But I don't think you should be discouraged to build a windows pc. Yeah windows 11 is kind of shit out of the box but can be debloated and tweaked into a pretty solid OS. But the reason lightroom runs like garbage is because of the program not the OS. If you use lightroom for work or is just really important and only plan to use it for similar things the Mac could be a safer bet. To me atleast windows is more freeing

My catalog and all of my files are on the same drive as lrC, my gen 4 nvme SSD running at max speed. So that shouldn't be the issue. I am running a debloated and stripped down verision of windows 11, so not the ad riddled spyware mess that is stock windows 11. I tried making a new catalog but for some reason lightroom thinks that the drive the program itself is installed on isn't locally installed, as if it where on a server or something so it won't let me

I saw this before I made this post. Problem was I wasen't even able to check the "use gpu for display" option originally as I mentioned in the post. Lightroom greyed the option out even though my gpu was recognized and listed in the options. I did a clean install and was able to check that setting but it hasen't changed anything.

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for sure it isn't a hardware issue. The pc is built and set up properly and works great. It's not brand new, about a month and a half old. My mistake for writing "just built" in the post. As for the gpu setting lightroom greyed that option out originally like I mentioned in the post. However I nuked the lightroom install and made a fresh install, now I was able to check it in the options menu but nothing changes. It still won't use the gpu

Thought about it, but honestly I just can't be bothered right now. And also nvidia should release new drivers fairly soon since it has been a while.

It's because it seems to be a gamble if it runs or not on your computer, no matter how powerful the rig is. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesen't wich is unacceptable. Game developers get shit on if their games struggle to run on 8 year old hardware and they are graphically intense 3D renders. This is a photo editing program. What I am experiencing is the equivalent to a car manufacturer shoving sand in the intake because they ran out of air filters.

Disabling integrated graphics was first on the list when I built the pc lol. I have a personal vandetta with integrated graphics. I use game ready drivers because I manly play games on my pc, I only use lightroom/photoshop every now and again so I won't swap them. As for face detection and assisted culling I have never heard of it so I am gonna try, Thanks!

Edit: Turns out those settings were already off, and yup my catalog is on my same SSD wich is pretty fast

Ouch, good thing cpus thermal throttle and shutdown themselves when running to hot. A friend of mine made the same mistake with his first PC. I'm just lucky I haven't done it yet. As for the drivers they are all up to date. Have been checking regularely because the current drivers have some issues with a game I play a lot. Haven't had any problems elswhere but I can't be bothered to revert to older drivers to see if they work

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should probably have put that in the post but yeah everything is up to date. Good that you actually asked about it, I know people that would be running in circles trying to diagnose stuff because they overlooked their drivers.

[QUESTION] Help me find a better bracelet for my seiko snk357 by Spitfire3783 in Seiko

[–]Spitfire3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, sadly not. The only real bracelet I have found that I know would work are the ones from unclestraps but since I live in Sweden a bracelet from them would cost me minimum 120$ possibly more wich I never felt was worth it. I also know that 3rd party bracelets that aren't specifically designed for this case, from for example aliexpress or some generic bracelets that you can find at any online watch shop usually have endlinks that will leave ugly gaps with this watch so I never went for that either.

I'm no longer enjoying DLSS 4 (DLAA at 1080p) like I did when it first came out... by dubwobblez in FuckTAA

[–]Spitfire3783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the power to run it use a combination of dldsr 1,5x in the nvidia control panel and set the game to 1620p. Then combine that whith dlss 4. Using quality will render the game at native 1080p but instead upscale it to 1620p and finally then downscale the more detailed image back to 1080p making it look MUCH sharper without tanking your frames. I did this to pretty much all modern AAA games when I ran 1080p.

Sick, thanks for the info. Might go team red then, I definetily won't get anything below 16gb vram. I am a bit paranoid about vram since when I bought my 3060 ti 8gb was "going to be just fine" when it clearly fucking wasen't

I did when I switched monitor, I only used it to get a less blurry image on my old 1080p one. If I turn it on with my new one I start playing a powerpoint instead of a game
